I know, I know, most of you hate PvP, it's toxic, it's hard, it's Game of Drones, blah blah, no, seriously, check it.
So the first of these new "events" is going on for the next...10ish hours. "No intel", it disables marking, classes with drones and other intel capabilities (like Echelon and Vanguard), minimaps, et cetera.
It wasn't the event I voted for, but it's turned out to be a lot of fun, and I'm actually doing much better than usual without being marked frequently.
The best part is that now in addition to the usual prestige credits for levelling and completing dailies we're also getting 50 prestige per match win. Now it just takes a couple of wins and a couple of levels and, boom, prestige crate.
If some of you are just 100% deadset against PvP, welp, fair enough, but to anyone on the fence or who hasn't tried it before or who might be willing to give it another chance I'd say now's the time.
I was just going to do my daily, but I've been playing for two hours straight now and winning more often than losing for once! ))))
It's a fairly goodnatured joshing sort of word we called people who only did PvE in EVE Online, is that not a term in other games?Originally Posted by UbiInsulin Go to original post
I almost went with "hey, nerds" since maybe some people here PvP in other games, but I thought that maybe sounded too mean. XD
I just hope some people around here give Ghost War a chance (or another chance). The more players, the better.Originally Posted by the5timechamp Go to original post
It will be interesting to see if the ability to win more and more prestige credits in PvP will eventually tempt people to come over.
Orrrrrr maybe exclusively PvE players will just complain more bitterly about fewer prestige opportunities in the campaign.
Yeah, while I play Ghost War, I opted out of the event. The toxicity already requires a thick skin, didn't think it would improve when Prestige credits are on the line. Honestly as is my BUD/S instructors could learn a thing or two about shouting imprecations about a person and their ancestors while performing difficult tasks from the guys who play Ghost War. I can't imagine what that is like during an event.
Yeah the only problem is how easy it is to wander off the map. Though some people seem to be ignoring the flashing yellow warning to return to area.Originally Posted by shobhit7777777 Go to original post
Aside from that it isn't bad. The waits are still real long.
I could tell you weren't doing this, but I have seen people use carebear as a legit unironic insult before, so I wanted to get out ahead of that before anyone started flaming. :| No worries!Originally Posted by non-exist-ent Go to original post
