Probably because this game needs a tremendous amount of concentration and also because a lot of people abuse weaknesses: mental weaknesses (making people angry by emote spamming and spamming "thanks" or "sorry") and their slow reaction time by actually spamming.

Another reason can be the toxicity in this community and the made up rules you're supposed to respect.
I don't really know why but in this game and this game only people feel the need to harass you for any thing you do.
I get hate messages on a monthly basis and they're all from playing this game ranging from "Cancer" comments to actual harassment (and racist remarks).

Sometimes a 'GG' message just brightens up my day, because usually when I see the "Player x has added you to a chat" I know toxicity is inbound.

There is a reason why they message you because you doing something . You belong to small group of people who enjoy this game and it’s good for you . At the same time this small group of people will not grow but will be smaller and smaller until it become extinct . Maybe developers will realize that and try to revive the game but it’s too late .

400ms attacks, soft feints, latency; unblockables leading into guaranteed damage, and if you are playing 4v4, ridiculous feats.

You need to be on your A-game just to play a casual match of PvP.

If you just want to get orders done, and relax you can play PvE, a good amount of players are in there.

Usually there is a Ranked mode to separate the Casual and Competitive players but Ranked was dead on arrival and still is so everyone plays casual so some games you run into people your level and sometimes you fight against the sweatiest 4-man who will make you regret playing the game. And if you dare quit you get a 15min penalty.

I've played this game since closed Alpha, the only way I can enjoy game this game without getting stressed out is by playing PvE with one or two PvP games if the game allows me since it crashes so damn much. :/

Every competitive game is like this with a bad mindset. You mustn't take the game too seriously, winning doesn't mean you are a superior being, losing doesn't mean you are inferior. If you try to play for fun and self-improvement, it is a completely different experience. Just ignore toxic behaviour, don't blame anything or anyone for losing, and you will be fine. It is not easy to do, but this is the only way to play it. And take breaks if you don't enjoy the game, it helps a lot.

The game is stressful because its a competitive platform. Even in casual people always try to do their best to come out with a carrying 20-0 score. The reality of it all is that its simply not always gonna happen.

I have a love/hate relationship with this game and its community. I love that its competitive and it challenges players to actually think about what theyre doing rather than swing wildly amd hope for the best. And the beautiful thing about it is that everyone always has a different strategy, a different plan of attack or a different mindset. But add in the toxicity some players demonstrate when they lose and a sprinkle of certain less than perfected mechanics, thats a recipe for some serious frustration at times.

If i can offer any advice that may help this game become more enjoyable it would be to accept that you are not the best and that you will not win every fight. I dont care how good you are, there's always someone out there who does it better. Becoming a better player means learning from your losses. If that means you gotta lose to the same guy ten times in a row then so be it, just as long as youre taking notes and actively trying to adapt to each andd every fight.

More importantly, play by your own rules. If its anything that ive learned since day one its that letting people get into your head is a one way ticket to a quick defeat and youll only burn yourself out by getting upset over it.

    I hope this helps.

I can’t believe what I read it’s competative ? I would say it’s broken . How can broken be competative ? ****ing nonsense

I think he already got good, but when he loses, it's broken. No contradiction here.

Truthfully? Compared to other games, this game is difficult. Difficult on a sense of how hard you need to try just to stay alive sometimes. If you play casually, you still need to actually bring your A-game sometimes, and you sometimes really need to use your head and get inside the mind of your opponents. It isn't a button-mash game like Mortal Kombat, and isn't solely a reaction-based shooter like Cod. There are lots of little technicalities and there's a lot to learn.
