Updated game today. Crashes on VS screen. What now?

Hadn't played in a while so I thought I'd try the Assassin's Creed event mode.... nope. Crashes every single time a few seconds after it gets to the VS loading screen. Completely closes the game so there is no error codes. I updated my graphics drivers and verified For Honor files. Anymore ideas?

Had 4 crashes in a row mid game in breach which is uncommon for me. I've had 1 or 2 in a couple hours but not 4 in a row and this was after the update as well.

Try turning off HBAO+ if you are using it, the game used to crash with that on earlier.

I myself have been unable to finish most of my games since the patch. The last 6 or so games ive played ive only been able to completely finish two of them and its kind of annoying. Everything was working just fine before and i even went through amd made sure everything was up to date and ready to go. Even after all this im still getting booted from my matches roughly half way through. Which sucks because ive been in my zone lately and id like to get my games in before i hit another funk.

Thank you all for sharing this! As Tyrjo mentioned, try turning off HBAO+ and see if that works. If not, please submit a ticket to support so they can help you there - https://support.ubi.com/en-US/Games/2559

I will add this to my report for the team as well!

Thanks. This seems to have solved my issue. I haven't had the game close itself since turning off HBAO+.
