This is a completely invalid reason to drag feet on development considering the volume and price gouging of the microtransactions currently in the game.Originally Posted by Hugo-FOU Go to original post
Absolutely not. I already paid for Fallen Ghosts and it will be a cold day in hell before I pay twice for digital content.Originally Posted by Hugo-FOU Go to original post
The guns are just skins and have no unique qualities as employed by the AI. We have enough skins in this game with the God awful R6 Siege icons.Originally Posted by Hugo-FOU Go to original post
Ridiculous proposal. This is a quality of life consideration that should've been included when they patched in AI squad customization.Originally Posted by Hugo-FOU Go to original post
Why would I pay money just to be even more acutely disappointed in the AI's inability to follow commands, considering how general and basic the current commands are? If Ubi did that, I would have to insist the PAY US to bear witness to that abortion of a feature.Originally Posted by Hugo-FOU Go to original post
In short, I am completely unwilling to pay for any additional content for this game much less content that should be included in future patches just based off of the reassurances they gave us prior to Year 2 that PvE was going to get future "development."
No, at this point the only thing they could introduce in SO4 would be a mission editor so the player base could at least be creative and make our own endgame content. Given Ubi's track record, I assume it will not happen and the game will be dead in my eyes from that point on. I loved this game, I truly did and it's hard to walk away but I've already started moving on. SO4 will be the last time I bother firing up the game to see what's new and I fully expect to be let down.
Again.
This game was lightning in a bottle and I don't believe Ubi will be able to capture it again.
So that’s a no then?Originally Posted by Grell1980 Go to original post
I’m hoping Ubi are reading this thread. The general consensus is no. Unless it’s actual content rich DLCs.

Let's call it a tentative no.Originally Posted by Hugo-FOU Go to original post![]()
You could, yes, and some were of that view when this kind of content started coming out, but the counter argument was that you could also get the item yourself in game. Therefore, you're paying for convenience rather than something that is completely locked behind a paywall. XP boosters are similar in that regard. The issue then becomes subjective of course as convenient means different things to different people.Originally Posted by Hugo-FOU Go to original post
For me, microtransactions are at their very worst when they are for game mechanics that make a significant difference to gameplay and are such that the sheer amount of hours you'd have to put in to get them "free" are practically prohibitive. I mean like some games where you'd have to play about 10,000 hours for a minor enhancement but be able to buy it for a small fee, and then that is just the start. This is where the practice becomes predatory.
All in all, I think Ubisoft have avoided a system in Wildlands that could be described as predatory. I have well over half the crate items, with no effort or cost on my part, just using prestige points that I'd have anyway.
I suppose the other argument to micro transactions is that for players with serious limited time, be that because of their work, families or probably a combination of both, the opportunity to buy some of what they want helps keep their interest.
For myself, I’m on the fence a little. With GR:W I feel it was good value from the start. Because of that I was happy to buy the FG DLC and felt that was also good value. I’ve purchased a couple of packs because they were things I wanted. (416, LVOA) Others I’ll never purchase despite them containing things I’d like as they’re too expensive for what they are.
Anyway, thanks to everyone that’s contributed to this thread. It’s been interesting reading everyone’s views.
For now I’ll simply say Merry Christmas
