Typical situation: vehicle that is controlled by a player - disabled (stage before explosion) and player is injured (downed). But other AI (optionally players) somehow is alive. So what AI does - is reviving player inside a car. And the moment AI (or player, it doesn't matter) revives you or second before that - car explodes. I can not count how many times I died like this in a normal campaign, and that's okay, it doesn't matter. But I've also lost all the Ghost Mode progress TWICE already in a way like this. It's annoying: 'cause u're just watching how someone tries to revive you inside a car that will explode in a second. And neither you, nor player can not do anything about that.
I.m.o. this option / AI behavior is a critical necessity.

Realistic? Realistic is you run up to get your incapacitated buddy, who for whatever reason packed everything including the kitchen sink(and all the dirty dishes he found in it and few other things), and you find that you are tugging on 180lb man in(low balling it) 140lb of gear so you are tugging on a 300+lb dead weight. Vehicle explodes and you both die in a blazing inferno.Originally Posted by GiveMeTactical Go to original post
Alternately your buddy is equipped with all the proper quick release stuff, and you leave the majority of his gear behind, get him clear, and then he's combat ineffective because his weapon and other gear were left behind in the now exploded vehicle...
In short there is no realistic way to do this in a video game.
My point is that it isn't about realism. It is a game mechanic. It works sometimes and others it doesn't. It's a combination of skill and chance. IMHO you should have bailed from a vehicle long before it is on fire and ready to explode.Originally Posted by Snumsmumrik_07 Go to original post
I think in the end the ability to drag downed players wether it's on the ground or from a vehicle, is something this game really needs. Doesn't even have to be an animation, it's just so necessary when your idiot friend never takes cover and you have to expose yourself to an army of Unidad
Bone_Frog ehm, the thing is sometimes you are downed waaaaay before vehicle is on fire. Tier mode, for example - sometimes AI just one-shots you. And someone (even AI) uses same veh. as a cover. In the end - everything's on fire.
I can see no excuse for reviving a person inside a vehicle, to be honest. Espesially, if there's a fight going on.
