You know if it actually Worked and Did Something even if it had some kind of a Cool-down like 10seconds or 15seconds it would still be better then what it currently is; A Gimmick and useless.
If it doesn't actually Work then whats the point of it Deactivating when you ADS or fire without a Silencer!?
The devs already confirmed what it does. Enemy detection rate is decreased while it’s active, giving you more time to react before you’re spotted.
If anything, what they need to do is make AI team mates be able to wear it, and for Thermal/IR to be able to see your heat signature while it’s active. Removing the effect from bare skin would be a nice touch too.
Saying it does nothing when you don’t know what it actually does is dumb. The in-game description was very vague and misleading, yes, but it does work as it turns out.
That's extremely counter-intuitive. I can understand many edge cases where letting the player be completely invisible - and shift phases - would cause issues with the combat AI...but it still seems *** backwards.Originally Posted by Ubi-Alien Go to original post
The timer of the detection meter is not as readily quantifiable but a distance based system is. A player can simply drop a marker on an enemy and test the camo's effectiveness...and frankly player expectation dictates that you will be invisible to a degree.
I'm really hoping they switch to invisibility based on distance.
