Has anyone encounter, lately, the issue of if you die in GM, the system will automatically delete all your other character files? I'm on the PC. That was apparently happening awhile ago, and may have been attributed to Ubisoft's having cloud save sync issues.
So simply wondering if anyone who's currently using GM (or had done so following the Q&M patch) is having any issues. Over on the tech forums, it's not a current issue apparently. Thanks.
No issues as of the Q+M patch, that is of course, other than DON'T DIE.
Haven't used GM post SO3.
Tips to avoid reliance on game save backups:
- Slow your gameplay down from normal.
- Minimize risk. Make your actions more deliberate.
- Minimize use of aircraft, opting for ground vehicles.
- If required to use aircraft, know locations of SAM emplacements and select flight paths to avoid or evade missile threats.
Remember, it just takes one bug to mess up your day and end ~30 virtual years of your character's life and millions of virtual taxpayer dollars in their training.![]()
I’m on PS4 and regularly backed up my save game files in Ghost Mode. I’m fairly certain that when I died, it didn’t touch the other saves I had, just the ghost Mode save. Even if you are committed to not using it, I would backup your save. There are numerous stories of game bugs as the cause of death, and while those seem rarer now, it’s better to have a backup and decide not to use it, than have no choice at all.
Not to worry, I always backup my game files after playing since I long ago discontinued using the Ubisoft cloud save "feature". So I'm good to go in that department depending on what happens in the game itself.Originally Posted by VirtualRain. Go to original post
