I have played the game in the past with no problems, but ever since re-installing the game and trying to play again there is an issue that is really bugging me.
As soon as I load into a save game the game/my GPU driver crashes (I can sometimes play a couple of minutes before a crash).
The screen goes black for a second and then brings me back to my desktop, but with the game still running and audio fine, just not showing graphics.
The reason I think it is a driver problem is because my GPU fan goes to default everytime it happens, where I usually pre set it to 75% before launching games.
I get 3 errors after the crash in the event logger, and they follow:
1st event id 9010 (A request to disable the Desktop Window Manager was made by process (4))
2nd event id 9013 (The Desktop Window Manager was unable to start because composition was disabled by a running application)
3rd event id 1001 (Fault bucket , type 0 Event Name: LiveKernelEvent Response: Not available Cab Id: 0)
I updated my GPU driver from 416.34 to the latest 417.35, I read https://forums.geforce.com/default/t...ame-crashing-/ which said driver 416 is corrupt.
I have verified my gamefiles and ended most background applications.
OP: Windows 7 64-bit
GPU: GTX 760 (417.35)
CPU: i5 3570k
RAM: 8GB DDR3
Hey there! Have you checked to make sure that your copy of Windows is completely up to date?
Same issues here.
Hope you are getting on it ubisoft and don't leave us looking in the sky
I've run out of ideas how to try to fix it.
Keeps crashing either after seconds of play or during the starting process of getting into gameplay.
Hey Pedhyos and welcome to the forums
Can you try the steps in this guide, and let us know if you are still having the same issue.
I'd also advise verifying the game files as well.
This should get you up and running![]()
I've had the same problem for a month ( ticketnr: 07565924 )
And for me i think it all comes down to Easy Anti Cheat. Not always, but most of time times when the game crashes after a few sec of playing, i get messages like:
Untrusted System file (C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\Ansel\Tools\NvCameraWhitelisting64.dll )
Untrusted system file (C:\Windows\System32\nvcpl.dll)
Untrusted system file (C:\Program Files (x86)NVIDIA Corporation\3D Vision\nvSCPAPI64.dll)
So it seems like Easy Anti Cheat doesn't like my GPU.
And yes, i have replaced those DLL files, but it just keeps telling me that more are corupted for every one i replace.
alright now.
Thanks for the welcome.
I now did everything I found out and was advised all over the threads.
Game still crashes after seconds like before.
all drivers up to date, ran as admin, verified files, killed temp files, nearly killed my pc by disabling background applications (I'm a noob so this was quite risky after all - things like steam, easyanticheat, pc life supporting apps, etc. have been enabled again - don't try to hang on on this, game worke perfectly with all that stuff 2 months ago..), reinstalled uplay, reinstalled game and so on.
Those Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package things I have no idea about I also have reeinstalled, since there was something inside the folders of the game (in steam folders). Still one question there. there are two versions of it, the 2012 and the 2015. The 2012 is able to get installed over the existing, but the 2015 *.exe files say they can't, because the software is already there. I am hesitating deinstalling the 2012 ones and installing the 2015s manually, also because their installing windows look different and the 2015s don't ask me anything about deinstalling or repair etc. like the 2012s do.
Is there anyone who knows about this stuff and can give me propriate information to this? what does the game need? Why are their setup windows so differently, also in their capabilities? What's for what?
Ah yes, and I noticed something in the few seconds of ingame.
whole distant objects are flickering. not single objects, but the whole scenery behind a certain distance, like mountains most of all.
And when I get to move my mouse, very strong vertical pixel disorientation around the horizontal section of the crosshair when looking around. (u see, vsync is not activated)
I hope you can do something with this Ubisoft guys. And don't come up with PC specs and driver updates, everything is fine there, trust me.
For further assistance, could you please submit your MSINFO/dxidag files so we can take a further look? Let us know what your ticket number is.
Have already done that in my earlyer message in this threadOriginally Posted by UbiSailorScout Go to original post
