Have you tried? Boss may be very tough! History knows many women as heads of gangster clans. Moreover they are two......double impact!

So just don't buy it, whats the benefit of coming to a game's forums lamenting it's very existence when you're clearly not interested in it? I have no interest in Kingdom Hearts 3, I've also never been to a forum dedicated to it for that same reason...

I'm buying the game too, special edition. I like the story in FC 5, love the Seed family. From New Dawn I expect more info about the Seeds.

Not sure but it might be that portal_jumper21 has played Far Cry games in the past and like a lot of people (including me) is not happy with what Ubisoft has done with the franchise. It's not even necessary to debate the long list of issues anymore. It's now clearly obvious to anyone who takes the time to objectively look that Ubisoft is simply cloning the game and selling it to people who are either completely unaware of the situation or those who could care less and simply enjoy the form of distraction Ubisoft offers. Far Cry as a franchise hasn't offered anything new since Far Cry 3 was released 6 years ago. If anything it's gotten increasingly automated and simple-minded. There's no challenge, no learning curve and very little immersion (distraction is not immersion).

Have to disagree with you on the not adding things Scrapser, they have added some nice features, it's just that for everything they add, they take away something equally as important. The use of companions, animal pets, full game Co-op are all great additions, they just took away much of the difficulty, animations, and ripped much of the true story away from the games while doing so. Personally I would have loved to see a full clone of FC3, with added Co-Op and maybe a few companions and pets...that to me would have been a fine clone. But no, they borked the story, simplified progression mechanics and gutted all immersion animations.

As far as FC ND goes, for me, I will wait until after release to see if I will ever buy it, and probably end up getting it on a deep sale if it is decent, cause yeah, that is what Ubi has driven me too, and I have played all PC Far Cry games except FC2...even though I own FC2 now, I missed it on release and only got back into it from FC3 after loving FC original.

Well, I'm taking the big picture view when I say it's the same game being offered. There have been additions and subtractions and even some modifications. So yes, you are right to disagree on that perspective. For me, the problem is the game has been turned into an instant gratification arcade game with lots of distractions that have no point. And now it's basically that and that alone (over and over). I have all FC games except FC5. I seriously doubt I will buy another FC until the game is overhauled in a major way.

I really enjoyed to stoic immersion achieved with FC2 and to go from that to what was delivered with FC3 was a huge disappointment. FC2 has issues to be sure but it also managed to capture a degree of experience that is genuinely rare. You mentioned you have FC2. I would suggest playing it without any expectations. It's a long game and there are parts that for some appear to test their patience. But the tactical fighting is where things can get interesting and if you play it long enough you will start to appreciate how it focuses you on what's going on, the problems you need to solve and how best to achieve your goals while at the same time leaving you alone to concentrate. The game cannot be paused to look at the map, There's no HUD, the weather cycle is the best of all the series and the game is realistic in both big and little ways...no fantasy except the country is imaginary. To be fair it's not perfect but the good stuff they achieved is not found in any other release. FC2 is a single player game so if you enjoy that you will have lots of fun.

At this point, I don't debate the details anymore. It's all been hashed over many times during the past 10 years. There are other games to play that give a similar experience (Operation Flashpoint and ARMA come to mind) and that's where I turn when I take a break from FC2 which I still play to this day.

I think if a person paid attention to sales numbers between Far Cry 2 and Far Cry 3, anyone with a modicum of sense would just assume that Ubi will never make another Far Cry similar to 2 ever again. That ship has long since sailed and any expectation of them returning to that type of game for this series is irrational & unreasonable. I know there are people who hold Far Cry 2 as the series' peak, but what those same people never seem to do is realize that it was both A) the outlier in terms of both it's take on realism and immersion, and B) the series' weakest selling entry. Somehow those 2 facts seem to be completely disregarded in all discussion as to how the series can and/ or should change going forward.... just my 2 cents....
