    Wut??

    2) Is just a mistake from the writers (this is more possible)
    Agreed.

    I've read Teeth of The Tiger. Really liked the premise and enjoyed the book, the sequels however I did not enjoy. The Caruso brothers and Jack Jr. serving up justice and saving lives. I wasn't too happy with Jack Jr. going on field ops as I really enjoyed him as razor sharp analyst....the field work however was really interesting though. I'm a huge fan of covert, 'plainclothes' hide-in-plain-sight espionage action and the Campus felt like the Ryanverse equivalent of Third Echelon....except with an emphasis on assassination rather intel gathering.

    Bear and the Dragon waa the last Clancy novel I really enjoyed.

    There was a somewhat newer one whose title I don’t recall, but it was about Al-Qaeda using Mexican drug cartel smuggling tunnels to “6-6-6” the ‘States. That one was okay, but I really hated everything involving Jack Jr.

    As Bone_Frog said...go for the Ryanverse books.

    My Recommendations::

    Without Remorse (My personal fav), Clear and Present Danger (It's Ghost Recon Wildlands done right), The Hunt for Red October, Patriot Games, The Cardinal of The Kremlin (excellent cold war espionage)

    Without Remorse is my all time favorite Clancy book. John 'Clark' is a recurring character in al (most)l Clancy books and is essentially the Sam Fisher of Clancyverse. This book explores his origins. Dude's a Vietnam era Navy SEAL (Technically UDT I think) who ultimately joins the CIA as a black ops prodigy. It's a revenge story and the way the protagonist goes about it is very detailed and engaging.

    Clear and Present Danger is also IMO a fantastic read...full of excellent covert action. It's what Wildlands tries to be. Think Narcos S1 and S2...but better. It also has one of the most interesting and authentic firefight sequence in any book I've read. Oh and John Clark is present in it.

    I highly recommend you grab those ^
    Oh I have read Rainbow Six, Clear and preset danger, the sum of fears,
    Without Remorse I agree I really liked his character, I liked how he killed the drug dealer dressed as homeless man
    I would like to see DIng Chavez and johnClark in GRW

    Not for nothing but John Clark would be pushing 70 by GRW. Let the guy retire in peace.
