Hi everyone !
First post here,
I recently decided to redo all the franchise on pc (did it on console a long time ago), and at the exception of regular freeze who were solved with massive ctrl-alt-suppr from Assassin's Creed to Assassin's Creed Revelation, it was going pretty fine.
My problem is, be it for Assassin's Creed 3 or Black Flag, my game systematically crash upon arriving at the disapperance of the first AC logo, with the "press any key".
It just crash randomly from here. Just once I succeeded at passing the main menu, but it crashed when the game was showing Desmond in the van with his father.
Well, if anyone can help me, it'll be with pleasure. 'Cause I don't know if the support can really help me, as they let à good amount of time between their answers.
Thanks in advance for the people who could read to the bottom of my post.
Good gaming !

Hi Meliawys! Welcome to the forums![]()
I'm sorry to hear that AC3 appears to be crashing the most for you. I can see that you are running Win 10. Please note the supported OS for AC3 are only Windows Vista SP2, Windows 7 SP1, and Windows 8. I'd recommend running the games in compatibility mode. Additionally, I'd recommend doing a clean install of your GPU's drivers to see if there is any conflict with any older drivers. AC3 appears to be throwing Windows Reporting Errors, so you should also do a clean install of the game. If you've done that, try verifying your game files to ensure there are no faulty game files. Let me know if any of these steps helped!
Hi !
Thanks for the quick response.
I have Windows 7 and 10 on dual boot, and AC3 works on none of them. As I was running out of idea, I reset my pc, and performed a clean install of my nvidia driver. Still don't work. I tested in all compatibility mode, still no chance.
I could find a windows 8 to test on it, but if it didn't work on Seven, why would it on 8.
I'm open to more idea nonetheless![]()
So, I tested it on Windows 8, and it didn't work either. So I suspect the problem come from my component or software.
I already sent my dxdiag and msconfig to the french support, but as they didn't responded in a few days, I'm asking myself if I don't have more chance here.
So if there is any more idea, that'd be terrific.
Hey Meliawys! Thanks for the update.
It almost sounds like the game is trying to run off the integrated graphics from your CPU. I would advise to ensure that you have the laptop plugged in at the wall and if you have any power management applications or system settings make sure that they are set to "High Performance", as this could cause issues with providing enough power to the processor and graphics card in your system.
I hope I'm not messing up this thread, however...
I've been playing AC Rogue for over a month on a Win10 high level DIY desktop. Just about a hour ago, after clicking the "PLAY" button in the UPlay screen, the full screen window appears for about 3 seconds (this screen would eventually culminate with "hit any key"when things were working), then disappears. My hardware is all quite new, all drivers are up to date.
Reload AC Rogue???
Hi MontanaDoug. We ask to keep the threads on topic, and would recommend making a new thread regarding your issue with ACR.
@Meliawys Can you submit your MSINFO and dxdiag on a ticket so I can look into this issue further?
