This is the beginning of The Harvester Chronicles. A series of game levels where you play as The Harvester, an artisan in exorcism, military trained, who's skills now come into play. UFO's have been sending canisters of DNA changing gases onto our planet. The noxious gas infects everything at a cellular level. People are changed. Even the grains we eat are changed, metamorphosing into a new world, a new nature, where only the Harvester of Souls can survive untouched, immune to its infection.
You play as an "exorcist with a gun" killing those who are "changed", saving those who are not.
Back-story: They came. From the clouds they came. A brief history shows they collected information on animals' DNA. And human. Eventually their scientists discovered how to take over our planet. They were subtle. Inducing wheat and corn DNA with their engineering. Then sending the capsules, the pods, releasing gases to activate that formula. The people..... our friends... they became....... monsters.
One man, genetically immune, from a bloodline of demon hunters, travels from town to town, from village to village, from house to house, to bring justice and to save his fellow man.
He has gone by many names. For now, he is called the Harvester.
Played your map and had a blast.
Generally i don't like that much zombie maps mainly because the challenge could be unfairly difficult and unbalanced but placed in the right hands it can turn out very good, which is indeed the case here.
Starting with the same vehicle that was used at the ending from the Master of the House, it felt like the adventure kept going on, but with more action packed into it.
It's a winter night in the country and a capsule buried in a field told us that something has gone wrong in the area.
This pod, i guess, helps beginners who haven't played the dlc to understand how the system works, but i'm still wondering if they all do.
The behemoth, hanging around might be a challenge for newbies, as it is a real bullet sponge to defeat.
At this point i thought and hoped that there wasn't to much of them , fortunately it was ok.
Arrived at the little village, it's time to see how the nightmare of the virus had spread.
Many houses to visit, pods to find and few hidden ammos at disposal to battle against the evil.
The challenge felt just right, you can look around without being always chased by zombies and take advantage of the fantastic level design which gives you many opportunities.
The care for details is top notch, but you can still navigate and escape freely without bumping into stuff, attack from the windows, turn around the tables, go up or down broken floors.
It looks real, believable (capsules went from the sky and destroyed parts of the roofs), each room is carefully crafted, lighting and overall atmosphere are perfect.
It's very rare to see this kind of map made by users, and this truly shows how far you can go with the editor.
Pods shut down, the evil nearly gone and John Seed dead, it's time to take a tractor and harvest the last unlucky peasants in the snowy fields, just before reaching the extraction point. What a joy !
Congrats and many thanks for this Sabotur !
Thanks for the feedback / review, its what drives me forward. Hopefully you got to play it after I fixed everything in it, had a few probs with the published version not behaving as it did in the map editor in Play mode.
The next level is in the worksThe question now is... are they interactive dreams / nightmares? Maybe a prequel is coming haha, we will have to wait and find out.
Anyone who wants to play these in order I will add to the below list when they are published.
Level 1 - Watcher of the House / Master of the House (is higher difficulty)
Level 2 - Harvester Chronicles
