I'm sure that they will be for sale in the future if you do miss the challenges. It wouldn't make any sense to purchase it though.

Is it likely one will have to do all of the challenges to get the guns or more likely just specific challenges for each of the two new guns?

As I mentioned in this thread the F2000 is from a store pack (or by itself there), the AK74, M60, and KSVK are from battlecrates, and the AA12 and Honey Badger are to be challenge rewards.

Perhaps you were under the impression that when Ubi said they'd make guns directly purchasable in the store going forward you thought they meant they'd stop locking things behind battlecrates? That would be better, but of course Ubi aren't going to do that, it would undermine their gambling business.
