LOL Well I apparently violated a local custom and all H___ broke lose

In Megaris Occupied Forrest and was on my way into the Spartan camp to see the blacksmith. At the gate on the beach was a dead Spartan; not of my doing. As a courtesy I bent over to pick him up and lay the body somewhere out of the direct path of traffic. Wrong thing to do I guess. The entire Spartan camp mobilized and came after me. Twenty one soldiers and officers chased me around until I could find a place to hide and they started to lose interest.

Note to self; Let dead soldiers lie.

LOL! Our world is not designed for nice people.

By the way, this is one of the things that I like about starting new games. Given that I already know how things work in Assassin's Creed world, I would have never thought about being a good smaritan, like you, and doing what you did. But for someone like you, who just started playing the AC game, and is still in exploration stage, I am sure you will have even more fun, and find many more things, than someone who has already played a few previous AC games.

The only advise that I will give you is, be vary of the 'chickens'

As show_stoppa said: Be VERY wary of chickens. They're a bit "touchy" when it comes to acts of aggression in their vicinity.
Consider them a "tunnel vision" punishment

Enjoy the game, share some photos and moments and don't give up on role-playing the "good guy" and eh...finding creative uses for corpses.

I REALLY try to be that good Samaritan but at this point in my Odyssey - if I so much as see someone about to get aggressive... Yeah.

Funny you would mention that. We have a handful of chickens (really) and they can get pecky if you iritate them. Thanks for your insight and I am really enjoying this experience. I have followed some of the story line, I am not in a hurry and so taking my time and playing while also exploring; less of the former and more of the latter. I only left the starting island 3 or so game hours ago. I may also be the oldest player behind the keyboard. Nine grandchildren should be enough of a clue. So far this has the makings of a great game but I don't want to rush to judgment, we'll see.

Wow .. Dad? You playing w/o telling me? He has 9 grandchildren too lol(I'm of the slightly older crowd myself).

Welcome! This is my 1st AC game too. It's... Beyond breathtaking. Certain things that hurt it for me(lackings, though few,
+ some minor glitches etc) are repeatedly overshadowed by the fact that it's so darned beautiful!

The story is quite fun and well written with a fair bit of comical moments to give you a good laugh.

Having never really played a story driven, open-world/sandbox style game before, I made the error of treating it more like a hack & slash Diabloesque style game.
I'm only now nearing the 5th act and I'm level "71" and ¼.
YET - Though I somewhat regret the decision to go off the storyline path, I've enjoyed every single moment of it.

Never have I played a game where I look at a range of mountains or any given map area and fondly recollect my time running with my pet through the region or the crazy moments I had there.

Very little rinse and repeat experienced so far in this game and I've put in hours and hours and hours..

Have a wonderful time and enjoy your Odyssey!

Ya be careful where you run or ride too. I've accidentally gone right through red zones - especially warehouses and had the same thing happen.
I just keep right on running, riding and don't look back
Even if you stand near a red zone, they'll come after you. The AI's better in this game than previous games.

The story is quite fun and well written with a fair bit of comical moments to give you a good laugh.
I love & appreciate that when it's in AC - there's usually very little of it.

Heh, this reminds me of the time I killed a cultist in phokis. I threw him on the back of my horse and delivered him to the guards at the temple of delphi. They didn't seem to like that very much

As for chickens, having a lion with me helps a lot haha.
