    Arcade/Map editor for New Dawn.

I don't know If I'm the only one who feels that way, but If it's true that there won't be Arcade or map editing in New Dawn, I honestly don't really care about it... I'm probably a rare case, but what got me in FC is not the campaign, it's the map editing aspect... I never finished any of the campaigns I tried to play... The best I've done is 57% completion with FC5... All I really care about is Arcade... And I'll just not buy it If it's not there. There's no point at all to me. Don't get me wrong, the campaign is well done, everything is alright, but I just don't have any interest in it.

If we could get any news or confirmation about it, that would be appreciated Ubi. I can't be the only one who feels that way.

Good job with FC5 btw Ubi. It's the most fun I've had for a while... Can't wait for FC6, If there's one. Keep it up.

I couldn't agree more, there are a niche' few of us (proabably bigger than i think) who love map editing and wish we could import weapons, and characters...

But i am not getting New Dawn right away, Because 1: i don't like Post-Apocalyptic stuff, i seen Mad Max when i was younger, i get the idea...

2: No Editor is a big Negative for me, i developed a decent map in less than 2 weeks in Far Cry 5 and it wasn't even my particluar style, i did jungle, mountainous rurla areas and cities, so an Alpine SWAT Village was new for me, but the Assets fit for what i was finding, i'm still so new to the directories in th e FC5 Arcade Editor, but the Search Engine helps alot.

    TL;DR: My Suggestion:
Release the Assets from New Damn sometime around July 2019, as DLC for Far Cry 5.

Also: Why can't we port maps from FC2, 3? (if 4 had an editor, why not let us port maps from 2, 3,and 4?)

Include The Divsion if possible, fingers crossed x and make it an amazing display of generosity, as i know there are mappers who don't quite get the iddea of what map planning and execution is, those of us who studied in university can make some sweet maps for both Solo/Coop and Multiplayer (DM & TDM) for realz... (also on 3dbuzz.com, you can sign-up and watch hours of tutorials on how to sculpt terrain in their editor, very similar to Dunia's Arcade Editor.)

Another Alternative is to release the Assets form New Damn sometime around July 2019... The RPG's Alone would make for some stunning "Insurgency" like O"Operatrion Iraqi Freedom maps and Black HAwk Down (Which i tried to catch the theme of but failed, i think i can rebuild it, however the Shapes aren't damaged at all so i don't know how realistic it would be... Not much African Assets, Would it be Possible to port Far Cry 2 Assets?, don't know if they have rooftop 'fencing' i'm not sure what you call it.)

That would be the same case for me. This seems to be in the same boat as Far Cry Primal, which is the only Far Cry game I haven't played for that very reason.

I play fc5 since release, and im not even halfway through the story haha. I only build maps, really detailed ones. I spend WEEKS on building good maps which i am very proud of.
And suddenly there is a new fc game... does that mean that all of my hard work will be forgotten in a couple of months? Yea probably...

BUT WHAT IF: FC5 and FC6 will run on the same arcade platform?! So you can play your maps from fc5 with your friends and still use all assets that got released for the editor.

    That would be so great.

Lets hope for the best lads

I'm not sure if I've played any of the maps by the creators in this thread, but I have a FC5 editor question if I may: Are there any shortcuts you can perform to "import" a map or satellite image to obtain boundaries? If it doesn't exist it really should!

In any event, thanks to those of you who have created maps to share with the community. Some of them are quite excellent, as were many for FC4.

New Dawn could bring a lot of fresh traffic to the arcade. So, why not include it? It would add enormous value to New Dawn, for little investment, while also promoting the rest of the series.
