    5 Game mechanics that need to change

    The ability to parry light attacks. Blocking a light attack is enough, letting player parry light attacks leaves some classes (with slow lights) at a huge disadvantage.

    The ability to guard break someone who is dodging. Being able to guard break someone while they are dodging makes GB overpowered against dodge classes. If I dodge, someone should not be able to break my guard... because I am not guarding.

    Counter guard break window is too short. Counter guard break window needs to be about 100ms longer. Hopefully this will cut down on the GB spam from certain classes.

    Fast switching guard stances. You should not be able to instantly transition from one guard direction to another, there should be a 500ms cooldown between guard transitions. The "turtle" meta is real and so is spamming every guard direction almost instantly.

    The 15 minute penalty timer for leaving a match. There are some classes or players I do not want to play against, anyone playing a Kensai for example. Kensai is so OP right now that I refuse to play them. It's the one class I rarely beat. I could beat them before they got buffed, but now... maybe 1 out of 9 matches, and that's if the 1 is a newb. Why you gotta punish me for 15 minutes for dropping out of a match against classes I don't want to fight? Make it 5 minutes because at 15 I just exit to desktop and play something else.

    Also...

    Hyper Armor. Hyper armor needs tweaked, hyper armor attacks have basically no risk right now for what they offer. Uninterruptible attack with reduced damage taken. They need to be balanced to be in line with unblockables.

    You need to play the game a LOT more in order to get better at it.
    It's is glaringly obvious by what you're saying that you are close to new to the game.

    1) Light attacks parries indeed put chars with slow lights at a disadvantage; but they need to buff those ones to give them other viable tools; not nerf light parries. Not being able to parry lights would be a buff to slow light attackers, but insanely overpowered to fast light attack users.
    Also getting rid of a mecanic overall is never a good idea in a fighting game.

    2) There is no such things as "dodge class". That's a non-sense term. The fact that some heroes have more viable dodges thanks to their length and the ability to use dodged attack doesn't mean they are meant as dodgy; that's just a + they have.
    Now for your personal knowledge: the GB mecanic has been thought at the very beginning AS a dodge counter; because balancing mecanics in a fighting game is pretty much like in a game of rock paper scissors: one move cannot beat 2 others or it would be broken. That's the same here. Making dodges unvulnerable to GBs would simply make dodging stupidely broken since it would be an option select to 90% of everything of the game.
    Also, how the hell can you propose to do this AND get rid of light parries ?! Cuz if what you propose would be true, the game would only be attack dodging assassin's, with no ways to counter them at all. Damn ...

    3) No. counter gb window is not too short. It is trivialy easy to counter GBs. Hell, proposing to reducing the window would be a better idea. Get good.

    4) What the actual **** ? First of all: guard doesn't not change instantly, it has a 100ms delay, and makes 400ms do their purpose of not being blocked on reaction. But asking for a 500ms delay ? ahahahaha wtf do you even play the game xD Or do you only play "dodge classes" so you want dodges to be all we do in the game. Man do you even realize that 90% of the attacks in the game are 700ms or faster ?! Making guard switch with 500ms delay would make freacking heavy attacks unreactable !
    No like seriously. Don't post anything on the for honors forum or reddit anymore man. I doubt you are even past rep 2 right now ...

    5) First of. Once again, thinking that Kensei is op shows how bad you are at the game. Berserker, Conqueror, Warlord, Warden, Shinobi, Gladiator, Shaolin, Tiandi, and Highlander, are all currently better than the Kensei (most op first to less op last).
    Then, when you play an online game, you are not alone playing the game; there are others human being in front of you. So no one gives a **** about if you like the heores you're fighting or not, you can't just leave and was te the time of others like that.
    I agree that 15min all gamemodes is a bit much, and that ofr instance Duel should only be 5 min. But in 4V4s gamemodes, the penalty needs to be high enough so you won't leave the game and abandonne your mates.
    So grow up.

    6) First, hyper armor doesn't have "no risk'. They still can be parried, blocked, GBed, and dodged. So wtf are u saying again.
    Then, moves with hyper armors doesn't reduce the damages taken.



    Soooo yeah. Sorry mate. The whole post is pretty much garbage ... How much hours did you play the game for ? Cuz overall all you seem to ask for is simply "make the game easier, and buff the heroes I like to play".

    Uuuh,you realize that a guard cooldown will make Orochis,Shaolins,Valkyries absolutely godlike? Counter guard break is fine as it is,the issue lies in CGB not working properly sometimes.
    Can't grab while someone is dodging so... make Assassins even more op since guard cooldown?
    Can't parry light attacks... are you insane? So I can't counter a light spamming Orochi with a heavy?
    15 minute penalty... that I can agree with. I can't count the amount of times my allies avoid the objective like it's some kind of cursed place and decide to get themselves killed. But that's not the issue,more like this matchmaking is really awful. Like,seriously? Why do I get matched with 250 rep premades when I'm just a rep 70?

    Dude you need to play the game more. I really seem not to have the experience for such statements.

    The only thing I can agree on, is the 15min penalty.

    Other things like increasing counter guardbreak time would be really bad, since normal guardbreaks usually never land. Only a really new player can complain about the time window being too short.

    So 600ms lights go from a huge liability to still worthless. Well that sure is helpful. How is buffing all lights uniformly and making unreactable 400ms lights have 0 risk supposed to help classes with slower lights? If anything this is nothing more than a massive buff to classes with faster lights because 600ms lights will still be worthless.

    This is insane. You could just dodge vs every attack and put the opponent into a bad position where they either must continue their combo (risk getting parried) or risk getting GB'd themselves during their whiff recovery.

    If you can't counter the vast majority of techable guard breaks, you're bad, period.

    This is the most insane suggestion by far. Even 500ms light attacks (most light attacks in this game) are nigh unreactable with Conqueoror's 300ms stance switch when he has a fully charged heavy. The average reaction time for a person is roughly 250ms. 250 + 500 = 750ms (ie all lights and even some heavies would be unreactable). Well finally we got the buff for those classes that have slower lights. lol

    Kensei isn't OP.

    Omg you've been playing this game since before the Kensei rework and you're still this bad? WOW!!!

    Dude you might be super human because the rest of us dumb ****s need that **** slowead down 10000% my guy. He has valid points though. In real life you should not be ablae to grab a dude so fast if an attack was previously made. The game play is very fast rn and please dont get so high and crazy to think thay every single human has the same math comprehension as you Trenk2009 just realize its really hsrd for us butterfly chasers. Some are great at the math some stick to basics. Its just life man. No need to try and **** on the guy cuz to you it is perrrfect. He acually was pretty grown in how he set up and formatted his thesis, man. So really who should grow up? The person who used the forum for what it calls for, General discussion of game. Or the guy blocking curse words and telling random strangers to "grow up"
