RL,
You do realize that the entire SPPD community is laughing at how ridiculous your buff decision was for these cards. You guys have thrown around the word 'balance' but your goal is to make the game 'imbalanced'. Maybe you should just do a true balance of the game, stop screwing around with card strengths and get all the bugs fixed and go server side. Stop wasting time screwing around with card levels.
Speak for yourself, they desperately needed the buff because Dougies we're basically useless unless you had a Dougie that was grossly over leveled for the rank you were in. While I agree they were a bit over tuned, they're not hard to deal with if you're managing your energy properly. There are plenty of ways to stop them, you just have to know how.Originally Posted by fanaticexpert Go to original post
I agree with the above poster, they definitely needed the buff. I've been using mind control on them with hilarious results. It's very satisfying winning a game using your opponent's own unit against them. Also, with the current event, I've been freezing them in front of my NK. My NK zap does most of the damage then you can drop just about any other unit in front of them to polish them off. The trick is not depleting your energy, I've learned to usually have at least 3 energy on reserve at all times just in case.
I made my way into legendary with prophet Dougie before the buff and I always had to combo him with freeze Ray or else he was dead on arrival. They are over tuned attack wise, especially barrel because of his power taking a bar and a half, but they needed a health boost for sure. People who have the biggest beef with it probably need to add spells to their deck. Mind control, Combustion, or all the adventure spells. I was annoyed at first but adapted.
Yeah but when you word things the way you did, it comes off as dickish, everyone slings **** at RL for changes that people asked for when they aren't picture perfect. Your message would come across stronger if you weren't so offensive about changes made. It's harder to balance a game like this when there are so many potential strategies for players to use, even the smallest changes can make huge impact, and they DO make some great balance changes from time to time, particularly with Imp Tweek, he's actually really awesome now, he doesn't get killed by NK zap before taking a bar now, and costs a reasonable amount of energy too.Originally Posted by fanaticexpert Go to original post
It was meant to be dickish. They're a company, I'm their customer and I'm unhappy at the product they're putting out. No card should have that significant of a buff or nerf. Imp was released at the same time they did their big rebalance from F2P to P2W. He was under leveled from the jump being an epic card. He's certainly more usable now not OP. But Dougie, he went from being unusable to 1 shooting NK bars.
