Alright, let's *bash* our heads together and figure this out.

Alright, i am just going to flat out say it, bashing across the board is not a fun game mechanic because it's implantation either is so broken overpowered that it's game breaking, [IE Conq and Warden] or so underwhelming and pointless that it's a wasted move [See Lawbringer.]

Is this really the best they could do? they made the Knight with the most elegant weapon of his faction, the lean body and most fanciful move set......reduced to a freaking heat seeking gorilla that can somehow run in two planes at the same time, speaking of Gorillas, i'm 99% sure Conq is one by the way he plays now.

I am not saying the bashing should be taken out, it just needs to be implemented in a way that is not brain bashing frustrating to fight, as right now, on some heroes it's just a "You made a mistake, i win" button, and that's not what For Honor is about, it's why revenge even is a thing, it's to allow people to stand a chance at winning a fight even if you don't land the first hit, because as it stands, being locked in an infinite stun is a flat out bad game mechanic and should simply not be something that exists.

Before the "Get Gud" comments show up, yes, i understand you can dodge most everything here with good timing, but you and I are not 99% of the playerbase that is stuck in low skill cap games that is filled with that sort of garbage and cent spam, and let's get real, it's cheese, flat out and stickier then a roll of duct tape dipped in fondue, once one person figures it out everybody does it regardless of skill cap and it's frustrating stuff like that that keeps killing this games new playerbase.

So what exactly was your suggestion again? All you did was call 2 fictional characters gorillas and I'm not sure how this connects.

Only thing i can think of being done easily is give a cool down timer on it, and not allowing it to allow unlimited chains.'
It was more to point out a fact, also Conq seriously does swing his arms around and flail like a gorilla when he fights, that was more of a joke.

As for Warden, he litearly can shoulder tap dudes as big as Law Bringer without consequence, come on.

It dumbs down combat significantly, the bash meta is just dumb.

Well while I agree that shield bash is a cheap, spammable move and changes should be made regarding it, putting a cool down on it is only going to kill the last remaining offense Conqueror has in this game. He'd basically have to turtle the whole game with a random shield bash here and there.

For example, he couldn't do much against an OOS opponent since shield bash is his only practical way of applying pressure. The only other potential option would be wasting time and large amounts of stamina to mixup between charged heavy and shield uppercut. So at most the opponent could simply opt to side dodge every time and only take 13 damage. This is because Conqueror doesn't have a standard feint and instead has to rely on full block stance cancels (which delays any follow up moves by 400ms meaning you'd never catch a 600ms side dodge with a guard break).

As for Warden, a cooldown would make a lot more sense since A) you have to make a read against his bash B) he does significantly more damage and C) he has way better follow up options such as immediately going into his unblockable top heavy finisher that can mixup into a guard break.
