    Map size for $

Will we ever get the option for bigger maps?

I get it that for uploading purposes they need to limit map size, but why can't they allow for larger maps that will not be uploaded? Can't they just grey out the publish/upload button if the map size or object count exceeds their limit? Having played all the games who offer map editors/creation tools over the years, I know there are a lot of folks like me who just want a big map that sits on my computer to build my own world over time, much like a large painting. It is relaxing and fulfills my creative expression needs. Yes I have Unreal 4 and have many hours invested in learning it, but it is too technical/complex to fulfill that desire for painting a world without becoming a game map level designer. The reason game map editors like Arcade are appealing to folks like me is that they have a simple interface to accomplish most creative, building tasks. This allows for jumping on even for short amounts of time and doing a little work on our world. If Ubisoft were to invest in making Arcade the go-to building app, they would get a lot of business. Landmark was onto it, but couldn't pull it off. Rift seems to be the only game I have seen where the devs realized that builders stick around long term are easy to satisfy and are "cash cows." We have no problem dropping $10-20 for asset packs and system tools upgrades. Big picture I'm not worried, as it will happen someday. Some gaming company will figure it out. Right now Ubisoft is in the best position to take us there.

    Here's hoping

I'm definitely one of those that enjoys relaxing and just creating tableaus, sometimes I see some scenery in a photo or video and think 'oh wouldn't that make a cool map'. Maybe it's some sort of god complex but creating new worlds is great fun. And yes, having something bigger than a square mile would be awesome.

That would mean we could only play offline on those maps. Since there is a map budget, I don't see why the actual size of the map matters. We would still be limited by the same budget.
