[IMPORTANT FEEDBACK] FarCry Arcade "New Dawn"

    Dear Ubisoft,

Please ensure that Far Cry New Dawn Assets are implemented and available in the Far Cry 5 Arcade and Level Editor,

So much work has been put in to the Arcade, it would be a real shame not to build on that pre-existing platform.

It's an absolute no brainer to freely market and promote your upcoming title upon release, as customers who purchased Farcry 5

following a simple title update of editor assets could then be able to experience user created New Dawn themed levels and elements through the Farcry Arcade platform.

Ubisoft could even release some New Dawn themed maps prior to New Dawn release in the Arcade to simultaneously stimulate interest in Farcry 5, Farcry New Dawn, and reinvigorate Farcry Arcade.

Simply Title Update Farcry 5 with the New Dawn assets hidden to end users until New Dawn game release, followed by a subsequent public assets editor release.

It is critical that New Dawn has a level editor, and that Farcry 5 Arcade Editor and the Arcade is compatible with that level editor

Users who purchase New Dawn could possibly be restricted to only New Dawn editor assets, although having all current editor assets may lead to increased interest in and therefore retroactive sales of Farcry 5. "Why not just let New Dawn customers experience map making with Farcry 5 Editor assets as well"

I hope these proposals have already been considered and are in motion, the level editor is a much beloved Farcry experience and the Editor & Arcade is the most profound, user friendly, exciting implementation of that experience in the series to date.

    Regards,
    Customers Who Love Making Maps

    Great idea.

I would personally like to simply see Far Cry New Dawn have access to the current Far Cry Arcade and all of its maps. I am assuming it will be similar to Blood Dragon in the sense that it will be purely campaign with no map editor, so it would be great if the current Far Cry Arcade was attached to the upcoming New Dawn.

If it does come with a map editor - even better, hope it has even more assets including all the current assets.

    Spoiler:  Show
Hope County isn't the only place that's been ravaged by the Collapse, and you'll be able to range far outside its borders on Expeditions, visiting new territories across the USA.
Could this be an Arcade/Editor hint?
    • Take expeditions that go outside of Hope County.
    • Expedition maps are SEPARATED FROM the open world, are less restricted:
      • Locations feel drastically different.
      • Maps are 1 square kilometer (FC5 had 0.5 square km Custom Maps).
      • Expedition maps can feature way more enemies (solving the limited number of enemies from FC5 Arcade?).
If the expeditions won't be tied into an Arcade/Editor like feature, maybe it'll instead be the base for a Far Cry 6 with Editor along the line?

PS. I can see New Dawn having backward compatibility with Far Cry 5 Arcade. Even if it's just limited to playing the maps (i.e. the Editor remains a FC5 exclusive). However, if New Dawn has an Editor & it'll enable creating maps with the New Dawn weapon arsenal, these maps will require Far Cry 5 to be updated in order to have FC5 support them. And I don't really see that happening. :/

Ok, never mind. Was excited for a second. :P

It's been confirmed to have no editor or pvp mp, it's just a sp co-op campaign. In other words it's just a quick easy cash grab.

Nice vid! Shows some interesting developments (1km square map, scripting), wonder if they'll port over to a next Far Cry 6 with Map Editor!

So no map editor? That's a bummer. Guess I'll be sticking with FC5.

Even though I like the idea of a post-apocalyptic Far Cry, New Dawn so far isn't doing much to get me interested.
