ive been a bit back and forth with what i think of the game. there are minor issues, but its expectable. at times, things annoy me, but when doing things with many other players, the minor flaws even out. there are so many people to fight with that any issue becomes a dust in the wind, and im off killing again.
this is the ONLY game i play on my playstation.
i find most games boring. witcher 3 gave me headaches because it felt like the character was floating when walking, and the fighting broke immersion.
and thats how i feel most games are these days.
if youre lucky, there is a great story but im just as happy watching people play through those stories on youtube.
For honors story was complete s**t in my opinion, but the online gameplay is perfect. the characters feel heavy and realistic when they move, and the fighting is the best ive ever played.
the devs are doing a great job with new stuff, and its almost impossible to completely balance such a game.
but there are a couple of things i would love to see in the future.
the entry skill level is extremely high, and it takes a lot of time to master just 1 character to the point where you actually feel that you know what youre doing.
and the main things i think would improve this would be changes to parrying and guard break interupts. these two thing alone requires you to spend a ridiculous amount of time, training to feel comfortable even using it.
and when you meet someone who's played the game for forever, you stand no chance. these 2 things make or break your game.
here are just some suggestions.
parry happens automatically on the last attack of a chain if you manage to block all the previous attacks of the chain.
when someone guardbreaks you get a notifiation allowing you to press the button at any point during the notification.
or a cooldown on guard breaks or grabs.
and here are just some small annoyances that i quickly forget when playing, but when writing this, why not write them as well.
low/blinking health very slow runspeed for the first 3 seconds.
to avoid people running off with ease, everytime they get low on health.
adding a rush/run funtion when locked in. it can even drain stamina.
thats basically it.
oh, and one more thing.
i feel the way we earn things in game vs the store is perfectly balanced. i know that i can get stuff by working for it, and it doesnt feel like a grind. but i have also used the store when im inpatient. perfect balance.
