    Ranked duel tiers

So i for the first time ever got into ranked play today. Played all 15 with aramusha and got slotted immediatly into platinum 2
I won something like 8/15 matches. 3 losses to centurion (yeah i still cant beat these guys in a dual if they know how to feint then corner you. I dont think they are OP but man i hate watching the 'feels like a minute long' cutscene they get after a single wall splat) 2 to light spammy orochi bois, 1 to a shaman, 1 to Jiang Jun. So tbh i was expecting to get thrown into bronze. Was this cause i was being matched against platinum players perhaps?

I will admit i was pleasantly surprised with the skill of the opponents i fought compared to those i encounter in breach etc.

So i was just generally wondering how ranked works. I dont even know what all the ranks are called. Also ive been struggling to find up to date information on the subject.

When you're unranked and start playing it, you get matched against players with similar MMR as yours. That's why you can fight players that are already ranked, while you aren't. What opponents you are given is mostly determined by that - the system can accurately choose from a pool of players with similar skill that's already set with a rank. I'd assume that your skill level is somewhere around high-end Gold and low-end Platinum, which seems plausible since your win/loss rate was almost 50/50 among similarly skilled players, making Platinum 1 a perfect fit.

The ranks are as follows: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond - rate 1 to 5 -, Master and Grand Master. They're listed in-game, and you can also view the % of For Honor players each rank houses as well as the top 100 ranked players on your platform by clicking on your name in FH's main menu and then on your newly acquired rank.

Your a saint for admitting loss to a cent without saying he's op or broken, as a cent main it's the ultimate sad day when i try to cutscene an aramusha with rocksteady and proceed to get bodied.
