Yeah, it can proc multiple times in a row. It doesn't happen often, but man is it devastating when it does. I normally only get 2 or 3 proc's in a row but I have gotten perhaps a dozen or so in a row a time or two. I smile from ear to ear when I get a long string of Lonestar Proc's. Running Lone Star and Big Al at 1k rpm. Then, hitting Tac Link and getting a Proc and man that Big Al is buzzing!
Not saying what happened was for sure legit, but it is possible within confines of the game.

For the Lonestar build set bonus , do you prefer using a shotgun over a LMG ? In your experiences, what gives you better results? as far as FA is concerned.

I know you asked Gary, but I personally like the LMG. The sole reason is as I am shooting, I can look when I am below 50% to see if it is going to proc. If it is not, I can take cover, swap weapons to start trying again, etc. With a shotgun, especially the Cassidy, it is too quick. Shotty's like Showstopper work with Strikers stability bonus, but are a handful when proc'd on the Lonestar.

Lack of stability is the main reason i dont use a whole ton of weapons, they're pointless if you cant consistently hit or at least feel like you can. I dont even use ARs because of this. The atriker bonus doesnt feel enough for me. Yeah the house isnt great at range but its rare fights are rangy in the div.
I do have friends on XBL however who do well with range weapons and can keep that range needed for them, especially with lonestar. Its a game style i could do with learning if the next one is a more cover based game but its a long way to go to convince me it wont revert to close range combat like it does now.

Personally, stability plays a huge factor me with my selection for guns.
I have trouble keeping my reticle steady sometimes when aiming at NPCs. If I ever use the Lonestar set bonus, it works best for me when I use a LMG.

I've rejigged my striker set now so i can start running that a bit more and hopefully i can work with the stability. Not a big AR fan but i think that's the way i'll be going i think for the next one. Hopefully they'll hit a bit harder than i think they do at the mo!Originally Posted by UbiSc0ttie Go to original post
Im solid with the nomad, pred, deadeye, d3, a few different hybrids etc but im reliant on the power of the house too as i'm very much a face tanker! Any AR tips/mods definitely should be using? I've made a lone star build too so i'm going to try out the support fire role too as it's good being a deadeye to support the team with that hard hitting sniper rounds, can really make a difference.
Really looking forward to TD2 so trying some new play styles out to make it a bit easier for adapting to different stuff on the new game.
Personally (with whatever gun I'm using), I tend to rely on specific talents and mods a lot. Specifically ones that give me the additional CHC & CHD i need to face tank my enemies. The more, the better! On my Lonestar build, as long as I'm in range, my Big Al gives me 500k+ DPS. Shotguns usually give me way more.Originally Posted by TH3WIDOWMAK3R86 Go to original post
On my high end G36 C, I usually get about 180k+ DPS.
Which ARs have you been playing around with?
