Don't know if this is a bug or not, but patroling Rebels and enemies in vehicles have some advanced awareness, so when you shoot with suppressers, they will come driving from far away. A lot further away than those on foot. This makes no sence and are in many situations very frustrating.
Rebels come to your "aid", crashing your attempt at taking over a base/area stealthily and they go in guns blazing, messing it all up so you have to fight a lot more enemies.
Unidad, well... Same ****, they just won't help you and makes it even harder.
I don't mind a hard playthrough, but this hightened awareness just by being in a vehicle is very weird.

once I get my game working im gonna give it a good, I never really noticed this.
I can lie down about 50m from an enemy, fire a shot from a rifle with a suppressor and he won't react to it, but an Unidad patrol in a vehicle, 100m away reacts to the shot and comes to investigate. Or a rebel patrol vehicle hears it and comes to "aid" me, by alerting the whole base.

Just like Ghost_Yama asked, do you have a video or if you do get a chance, can you record this and share the link for the video showing enemy's awareness so we could have a further review and investigate.
Don't have a vid and it is easy to replicate.
Go to any place that has enemies and a road nearby where Unidad or rebel patrol vehicles drive by.
Use a rifle with a suppressor and you'll start getting patrol vehicles comming in from further away, than enemies on foot can hear you.
Just testet with a suppressed M4A1.

How do they have better hearing with the cars engine noice???

ANY vehicle patrol gets alerted to suppressed shots a lot further away than enemies on foot does.
I've passed this onto the GRW team and they stated they were unable to reproduce this issue. When firing a suppressed weapon near an enemy NPC, he gets alarmed and enters the Hunting Status. For the investigation, they would like a video showcasing this issue.
So, had to learn how to record playing, which wasn't too hard, but... yea.
First video shows me shooting an M4A1 with a suppressor and I get suspected status at about 33m by 2 Santa Blanca soldiers on foot.

Helicopters are even more annoying and suspects me at up to about 200m (no video).
This is rediculous and makes a stealthy playstyle annoying as hell, as there are almost always vehicles comming to investigate, when they should not be able to hear a suppressed shot futher away than an enemy on foot, especially not more than over 3x the distance.
If it's not an Unidad car comming to kill me, it's a rebel car comming to aid me, by riling up every enemy in the area, by shooting recklessly.
It doesn't matter which rifle is used. They all gets detected further away by vehicles, than soldiers on foot.
