When you guys mention "more planes", are you referring to jets? If so, that wouldn't be possible due to both the game engine's inadequate rendering ranges and rates. That also explains why the game has such aberrant round trajectories. I, myself, would prefer that devs focus their efforts on producing an engine -- and card manufacturers on a card -- that can render targets significantly beyond (2x) the effective range of the longest range simulated weapon system that can be used... without sacrificing proximal detail. High expectations? Absolutely. Not being able to acquire a target 600m out because it's beyond rendering capabilities and therefore doesn't even 'exist' until you close the distance on a simulated rifle with a realistic effective range three plus times greater? Ridiculous.
NB. The current record (2017) with the Tac-50 is 3450m... a fact the store conveniently neglects to mention, given that it isn't realizable in-game.
If you'd introduce jet aircraft, you'd have to increase acquisition ranges exponentially beyond that. Moreover, that wouldn't be consistent with the resources (inc. runways) available to the scale of this fictional operation. It's clear that game limitations dictated focus on VTOL and slow moving aircraft and in the related issue on assault rifles, since the game's sniper rifles are essentially fluff.
Hugo-FOU, based on your top two helicopter suggestions, I gather you're from the UK...

I can respect that. I think the Apache would be serious overkill... the in-game Cobra is, too, but it's tempered with limited accessibility. Given the scope of the operation, the AH-6 and UH-60 are adequate for players to accomplish any given objective(s) with diversified gameplay. That's also done under the context of SOF. If we were 'stealing' Bolivian helicopters, they'd be the US UH-1, as well as various French models.
