Open world exploration penalized in this game?

    Hi

I do not own this game yet but Im thinking of buying it because of Steam Sale and Black Friday etc.

I just want to know if its true that you are not left in peace to explore the open world when you arent doing missions. I hear that enemy AI constantly constantly attacks you and that you cannot drive for 5 mins without being blasted multiple times.

Friends who own the game also tell me that you are snatched out of the open world in some kind of "kidnap" mechanism. I've even heard that missions auto-complete

Far Cry 1/2/3/4 let you wander about the world as much as you wanted and this is a hallmark of the series. It will be a pity if the 5th got rid of that.

Look forward to replies from gamers, thanks.

Search the forum threads. One is 'Sick of being captured' I think. You will find a lot of complaint about being taken out of the open world to have to run like a headless chicken through a building complex with a clock ticking. If you fail you have to do it again.

That aside I hate this game and haven't played it since buying it the day it came out. Dire AI, bug-ridden and not even as good environmental effects as FC2. Never again.

re BIB this is the thing that confuses me. Because 3 and 4 also have the same problem of NPCs and animals constantly hounding you as you try to explore the world.
Yet 5 is the straw that breaks the camel's back?

Thanks for the responses, Ill check out those links

You are correct - I should have clarified what I meant. I hear that in FC5 that the FREQUENCY of NPC encounters is much highers than in the previous Far Crys - is this true?

The one thing Im wary about is this "kidnap" thing. I hear of gamers flying planes and being teleported to a room because they got kidnapped. Some in-game trigger I guess that we set of during free roaming?

I avoid having too many encounters simply by staying off roads.

When I travel far I usually do the drop/wing suit.

Otherwise I run crouched in the forest. I use a cheat to speed this up.

After the first kidnap, another seemed frustrating and silly at the same time. So I use the cheats to get it over with very quickly. Maybe a wasted minute at the most.

The latest Fling trainer seems to work the best.

I hear, I hear........Are you trolling? Buy and try! Or may be you have money shortage, if so its another question. Don't ask people! Only you, yourself, can decide - good open world or not. Or you need someone else approval?! Listen to your heart and make your own decision! Far Cry 5 open world rather special. Boiling and dynamic. It is not RDR2 or Fallout open world. Far Cry 5's open world stings and bites! Will you like it or not only you will see. "I hear", "My friend told me", "People say" forget these words!

You know, so many complaints while so many of us just play and play and play and have a hell of a good time.
