As it is currently, the rating system seems flawed. You can only rate by either liking, disliking, or skipping to rate.
I've seen maps that are incredibly detailed and well thought out, yet only receive 3-4 stars. Then I've come across maps that are either unfinished and/or poorly planned/balanced and still manage to receive 4 stars. A really basic map like Shovel Dodgers can receive the same rating as a far more detailed and thought out map like British Rail.
So how can Ubisoft improve the rating system?
Would they be better off by increasing the time to rate and allowing us to rate on a 5 star scale instead? They should also allow us to change our rating, either by playing the map another time or by going on the Arcade website page for that map and rating it there. I've had times where I'll play a version of a map that has some sort of problem where I feel the need to dislike it (like a balancing issue), then I'll play that map again after it's been updated and I enjoy playing it that time. But I can't change the rating as I've already rated it previously.
But that's just my suggestion. What do you all think? Should the rating system stay as it is or be changed?

The 5 star rating system in FC2 was a 5 star scale and started this whole debate as some great maps still sit on one star..Originally Posted by Sonic5745 Go to original post
It would be better to either leave a 'Like" or not and the option to add to Favourites (or Share to Favourites) and some way for players to leave a brief comment about the map whereby the map creator would have the ability to delete any comments they didn't want associated with their map. In other words, just like Facebook.
thnx for highlighting my thread steve, its been a while since ive seen that oneOriginally Posted by Steve64b Go to original post![]()
Ability to comment would be great! I'd love to know how my maps can be improved or what I did best in a map without having to come to the forums. I wouldn't have to come here and make a thread for a map, then watch as it slowly get buried underneath all of the newer, more active threads.Originally Posted by Sabotur Go to original post
Also, apologies for the duplicate thread. Didn't notice there was one already made with this topic.
