Settlers 5 HoK History Edition language change issue. | Forums

Hello,

I have problem with changing langauge in Settlers 5 HoK History edition. I see there'r folders in Polish files, but in Uplay there is no options to choose polish. Is there any solution to my problem? I know the game was released with the Polish language version. I count on you! Thank you in advance.

I'm afraid Polish is not currently an option for Settlers 5

It's weird becouse there'r polish files in game folders. I should say that I am not talking about the full polish language version but about changing the subtitles in the game to Polish. I understand that the full language versions are in listed languages, but if have polish translation of subtitles in game files why i can't play with them and english soundtrack like it was at originally released version. I have to say that i'm a little bit disappointed, because I was hoping to play like in the good old days, when i had box edition that i lost.

To change language to polish you have to edit registry string from en-En to pl-Pl, but in polish directory you don't have voices etc. so you have to copy that files from en directory to pl in main game and 2 addons.

So.. can you show us how to do it step by step?

It's simple.
Firstly you have to edit registry file. Menu Start -> Run and type regedit.exe
Next. Find a string HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Ubisoft\La uncher\Installs\11786 and edit key Language to pl-PL

Now go to your install directory ...\theSettlers5\base\lng\en and copy all to ...\theSettlers5\base\lng\pl directory. When system will ask for replace files click NO.
Voila. You can play Settlers 5 HoK in Polish with English sounds and voices.
