    Fatal Crash

    Hi,

the games crashed multiple times because of a fatal error:

I cannot link it to a specific event. The latest crash is after loading an auto-save game. So that I cannot end a mission...

Have you received anything like that yet?

    Hi there Uthuze!

Can you please try verifying your game files in Uplay PC in the first instance? Let me know if this helps at all.

Hello divinetokmak, thanks for getting in touch with us about the crashes you have experienced.

The Settlers 4 should be able to be played on a Windows 11 system, but you may need to try running the game in compatibility mode to see if the crashes persist.

To resolve this, please try all of the following steps >

    1. Check the game's system requirements and take note of the Windows operating system it was originally released for.
Find the games .exe file, right-click to bring up Properties, select the Compatability tab, and select Run in Windows Compatability Mode for each older Window OS shown, to emulate that particular Windows OS with the game.

    2. Please also check the 'disable full-screen optimization' setting in the same Compatability tab above.

    3. Try editing the .cfg or .ini files resolution to 1920x1080 before launching the game, should this not work, please try other lower resolutions too, then enlarge the window should the game open.

    4. In your Nvidia or AMD control panel software, select 'Manage 3D settings' > Application Settings > Select the game you are trying to play, and change the settings 'Anisotropic Filtering' and 'Antialiasing - Mode' to the 'Application controlled', then apply.

Please let me know what happens, after checking each of these steps, one by one?
