Add a Bot Difficulty selector to PvAI matches | Forums

Since the game uses an MMR system based on PvP matches to determine bot levels, if you don't play PvP you only ever get Lvl1 bots to play against. Which is boring.

Could we get a selector in PvAI games that lets us pick the bot level as either 1, 2, or 3?



If you have MatchMaking on if could assign a bot for each selection the player has made. IE:
Player 1 has lvl 1 bots
Players 2 and 3 have LvL 3 bots
Player 4 has lvl 2 bots.

That would populated the enemy team with 2 LvL 3s, 1 Lvl 1 and 1 Lvl2.
If a player drops they get replaced by a bot of the level they selected.


If Matchmaking is off it would just set all bots to what the "Group leader" has selected.

Rewards could be increased/decreased based on Average bot level. If you go vs 4 Lvl 3s you get better rewards then 4 Lvl 1s.

Good idea, I haven't played much PvAI but I find it looking more appealing as more and more unreactable attacks come into the game.

I will share some info from the last warriors den on AI with you in case you haven't heard, level 2 bots are getting a buff to make them more difficult to deal with and level 3 bots got a damage nerf and are getting another nerf to their impenetrable defence as well. This applies to arcade, but maybe they will make it apply to the rest too, in some areas.

Obviously you can't change damage values for heroes out of arcade, but the rest seems like good changes.

I only play PvAI. But I'm starting to lose interest because at this point I'll have to grind through PvP to get an MMR for LvL 2 bots, and then I'll have to make sure I keep doing that to keep them. Or it's back to meh LvL 1s.

I just want to play on my own time with different bot difficulties.

I posted about this about 3 weeks ago. They need to make it part of the match making selection before queueing against AI.
I get tired of getting no xp, and no gear for going into custom match so I can practice doing things against level 3 bots and whatnot.
Itd be nice to have a challenge before taking on PVP. And I do my dailies ALONE. I dont pvp for them. So I want this challenge during my dailies.

I guess I'm lucky when it comes to the bots, I've been playing PvP since beta, so when I play vs AI I never see anything less than lvl 3 bots, it would definitely be annoying starting right now and only getting lvl 1 bots, forever lol

You would think there would be some matchmaking mechanic in AI matches too, if you stomp level 1 AI bots 20-1 every match it should bump you up to the next level eventually, or like you guys suggested, make it so you can choose.
