    Console Light Animation vs indicator

Seemingly console players are going to be stuck with the pc build so I ask players that feelthey have invested enough time (as I have not) in this game on console: Has anyone found good success with reading light spam attacks from animations and not indicators. I wonder if the lag allows enough reaction time if we were playing the game asthough in Realistic mode. I for one have been trained on the indicators and thus I wonder if they are more of a handy cap that hurts reaction time if I was to instead devote my attention to animations and stance swotches. To any who have tried this already please let me know if Reaction times are visble with animation focus only. If so then the console version isnt dead its just much more detail intensive and takes a lot of memorizing for each characters animation reads.

No...I don't even try. If you are getting sucked in to a light spam nightmare...back off and regroup

I do. I parry orochis lights pretty consistently on ps4, including his zone, it the animations I watch. So even in a smoke bomb I can still party those lights.

New characters though, especially shaolin are pretty much unreadable in terms of animations as effectively his animations are like trying to read a hidden stance.

Removing indicators on console entirely might be a thing to consider. Would istantly push the skill ceiling towards the sky though with everyone having to relearn a lot. But personally, on lightspam, it's more animation reading then indicators. And a lot of intuition.

All a console player has to do in order to have a near identical experience to a pc player is: play with a wired connection and controller. And grab a decent gaming monitor. Mine costed me 150$ USD. Trust me it makes a big difference.

All purpose of being a console player is convenience. You sit your *** on big couch in your living room in front of your huge TV and enjoy relaxed gaming. If we have to connect our controler and use monitor in order to get similar performance to PC, might as well get PC then.

Even when everything is perfect, there is still some advantage to PC, maybe just enough to make difference between blocking something or being hit. If connection was perfect, ps4 would suffer less but as long as players can lag switch and have ping measured in hundreds without being kicked, ps4 is nothing relevant to judge someone's skill.

Didn't play for weeks and as soon as I logged in last night to check on new heroes, oh what a suprise. Once again it was clear what disaster th8s game really is. I was fighting vs team of 3 Orochis where 2 of them had a ping between 120 and 210. Great experience .

If you want a better experience in a game, especially one you tend to take more seriously then improving your setup is 100% normal. This isn't limited to pc. Nor is this limited to for honor/fighting games. If you don't care about any of that then simply running a wired connection is enough to make the game more than servicable. Really no one should ever be using wifi to play games. Especially if you pvp in said game. It's never been good and likely won't be for some time.

The only difference between the setup I mentioned an a standard pc is literally 10-15ms of difference in terms of reaction that's basically meaningless. The only other difference frames are giving is smoother animations. Which does not make things statistically easier to deal with. The main problem with console game has been input lag. The things I mention drastically reduce this to almost pc levels.

I only have the classic Sony Controller.. Can you advice a good one ?

And what is a monitor ?
Maybe that's a stupid question but i'm not English native and not a gamer outside of FH so i don't see what it is.
