Keeping thing consistent is not an acceptable answer.
You have removed fun and immersion from the game and what was a major selling point on day one.
It doesn't matter at all if some were faster or some were slower, just turn it off for Breach if you're that worried.
Massive issue and no one seems to take it seriously that the declining playerbase for this game want it back.
No one even responds on these forums with any meaningful information.

I've seen two main excuses for removing the animations.

    1. "It makes it easier to clear minions."

Which is demonstrably wrong. Gladiator, Warden, Peacekeeper, Shinobi, Shugoki, and several other heroes have a much harder time clearing minions now, not to mention how sluggish and unfun it is.

    2. "We wanted consistency between breach and all the other modes."

Which is just about the flimsiest excuse I can imagine. Literally anybody with a pair of neurons to rub together can tell the difference between pikemen and regular minions at a glance. It's obvious that these are two completely different units, therefore having a different ruleset for pikemen makes perfect sense. It doesn't hurt "consistency" one bit. And that's not even taking into account that there are only pikemen in breach and only regular soldiers in dominion. These are two completely different gamemodes, to butcher the experience of one for the sake of the other is completely unnecessary.
