I miss my minion killing animations. Please bring them back. This was a really cool nuance of the game. There is no need to take it away. Simply turn it off for players while in breech mode, and in all other normal modes, keep it on please.
They have just said on the stream a second ago how this system was an appendix and needed removing. A completely useless thing. They said "it was slow". Blah, blah, blah. This is their incompetence. They don't even realize such a basic thing as clearing waves in Dominion being faster with minion animations and momentary locking in occasionally to use an attack from guard mode. Having to use only attacks from guard mode we are forced to be vulnerable, awkward fools who can't even use their overwhelming stature to get rid of some minions that die in 1 light. This is so clunky, uninspiring and flat-out SLOW compared to the animations that were STRATEGIC and FAST, that the removal of the animations was some of the most critical, mind-boggling lack of sober thinking in game development I have ever seen, as it seems to me now. So sad.
The problem is that they think that efficiency is the only thing that matter....and it is not!!!.....appealing and fun is also a key factor in a game....and those animations had that.
I can understand that now there are minions that needs more than one hit, but then make animations of 2 or 3 hits that look cool and give us that fun back again.
In dominion where the minions can be killed by 1 hit the old animations should return.
Saying that if we do not use zone attacks we were doing wrong does not justify the removal of content in the game.

But its always been the case that some heroes were better suited to clearing creeps. In fact, those heroes typically had the "killing minions gives stamina and health" feat to assist with this. Raider was amazing at killing them, same with aramusha... others, more assassin based heroes, should be roaming the field looking for opportunities, likely set up by a hero being in the middle clearing creeps... The game had more strategy with the small details in tact in the gameplay.
Pretty sure that still exists. Raider is still great, hes actually better after animation removal. Warden, kensei and aramousha are all good still at clearing. I think the only one that is questionable that has the killing feat that may be slightly worse is conq. Ao you still have great classes for clearing and ones you should avoid it.

But here's the moderator "interpreting" their incompetence for us with "IT'S CONSISTENCY!!!!!!". WHAT AN AWFUL LIE. It's NOWHERE near consistent now for characters to clear. Some are VASTLY better at it than others. Warlord, for example, is worse at clearing in Breach and not good anymore in Dominion due to removal of animation than Shaman was ever in any mode. Congratulations.
And yes, this is about fun. That's why we play games. Animations ARE FUN. Looking like someone with multiple sclerosis trying to fight off two minions by having to throw out 2 attacks instead of doing a clean animation that not only cleared the minions but covered the distance to where you wanted to move and was fun and consistent across all heroes with what seems to be shaman being the only exception, IS NOT FUN.
