After watching Alernakin’s recent video (linked below) and sighing over and over again at reading the casual community’s rants, I believe more than ever that education of the community at large is just as, if not more important than balance changes. For whatever reason, these players don’t tend to trust high level players, even those that are trying to help the community by providing useful, comprehensive resources, but they might listen if they hear it from the devs themselves.
Advanced hero tactics (or whatever the actual name is, sorry) is a great answer to this, but its first iteration leaves a lot to be desired. If whoever makes them wants to consult high level players, that would be great, but making Conq’s (for example) explain why his shield bash is not as strong as it may seem would do wonders. Effectively, it only has two timings, so dodging early or dodging late on read is all you need to consider.
Mentioning reads in general would be a massive eye-opener for the majority of players because they still operate under the assumption that everything is supposed to be reactable. The high level community has tried to explain it, but it often goes ignored, or the players simply refuse to accept it. This game has so much potential and we all want it to succeed, but the community needs to be on the same page before we can really ask Reddit for balance suggestions, and expect to glean anything useful (if Shaolin gets nerfed because of the whiners, I will actually cry, and I don’t even play him). Advanced hero tactics is the perfect way to get that information out there, so please please PLEASE use it.

******** I say it again bull ****ing **** try playing slow *** hero with heavy attacks and tell me how it is . Every heavy attack is blocked or parried and unblockable is not dodged but blocked or parried by players . U use Shaolin and fast attacks that explain everything why this game is great for u and the rest of the fast attack players .
