Why is this forum so flooded with spam? Are there no controls in place?

“We know about this issue and hate it just as much as you. We try to delete as many spam threads as we can but can’t get them all. Hopefully we resolve the spam issue soon” is the standard reply we have gotten for 2 years about this issue. It’s not the mods fault though, Ubisoft just suck, or just have no idea how it install spam filters despite it been something that should be relatively simple.

There are controls in place, but obviously some spam still makes it through. Then it has to be manually deleted, which means it can be left up until a mod happens to log on.

I don't blame the mods btw, they're pretty active and relatively timely.
