At what tier do enemies become unrealistic?

Is there a tier that’s worth playing? One where the enemies react in a reasonable time but are not aim bots?

While I’m sure it’s different for everyone, I’m finding on Extreme (non tier) they are too slow to notice me and react. But on my Tier 34 character, they are unrealistically fast and deadly.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t really testing the various tiers as I tiered up as I spent the better part of 10 tiers just getting convoys to level up my weapon which was a total waste (I have another thread on that).

I’m curious at what tier you feel is realistic to play at?

I’d say around Tier 25 is where you’ll actually start to notice a difficulty spike. From there on, enemies start to become unreasonably skilled, and if your weapon isn’t levelled up, you’d swear you were playing The Division.

Just took my solo character (Extreme) to Tier 40 (for the HTI DLC only) via clearing UNIDAD bases (w/ crossbow & 566xi with no damage leveling.) Around level 45 it really got hairy when I blew my stealth regarding damage taken reacting to taking fire. Didn't spend any time on SBC bases, so no comparison on any possible difference.

    So FWIW ...

The problem would be that even if you were to find your own perspective's tier at which combat is realistically represented, you couldn't suspend your progression to Tier 1. Tier mode is either active and progressing, or it's inactive and you're at Level 30... unless you plan on constantly reverting game saves? If that's the case, I'll bet the tedium of that will outweigh the lack of realism in the subsequent tiers.

The worst offender is the gun turret on wheeled vehicles that come in 4x4ing over irregular terrain at Formula 1 suicide bomber speeds and still nail you with 100% accuracy.

Whatever tier extreme kicks in because as soon as they're not visible on the hud you better know which direction your threat is coming from or you're dead.

Depends on how you define "realistic".

Have you ever worked a job a where you kill armed people who mean you harm for a living? If not what are you basing your determination of realistic on?

So let's talk camo patterns/gang colors ect. Despite claims to the contrary, they aren't really meant to make you blend in(unless you are a sniper in a ghili suit), hence the army went with those shades of gray ACUs for so long. The purpose is to tell your friends who not to shoot. Unfortunately, like tracers that works both ways. A guy with an smg set to rock and roll can reliably hose anyone to death in under a second if they are within 50m. In my experience in Afghanistan and Iraq, most guys don't go "huh" and then take several seconds of beeping before they hose in your direction if they see you. Seeing you(a stranger) and hosing are rather simultaneous.
Now if you can flank even alerted enemies you can typically cut them down before they have a chance to bring arms to bear. That requires movement and cover(IRL I'm talking about).
Being spotted by multiples and managing to out shoot them before you are dead... Yeah that is pretty much known to be impossible. The Secret Service once did a study on that, and found it just couldn't be done. Three untrained rookies could still take down a fully trained guy with at most 2 of the attackers receiving wounds that would be mortal.
I'm on Tier 19... Got spotted yesterday by a group of 4 Unidad. Still managed to cut them all down with my 416 before they killed me, I had to regen a bit, you know the grayed out screen, heavy breathing and "FALL BACK" flashing. But no death. 1 on 1 spotting and I can usually still kill the guy, even with a pistol before he even wounds me(meaning needing regen).

So I would say that Tier 19 is headed toward realistic but not there yet. So until I progress some more tiers I still haven't found "realistic" yet. I'll let you know when I do.

Also in real life, actually being Tier 1(as in a Tier 1 operator) means that you can engage and defeat other Tier 1 units. In training the Army's CAG and the Navy's Devgru typically take turns playing terrorist/OPFOR against the other in training. Idea being if you can down them, you can down anyone else in the world. So at Tier 1 I would expect the enemies to be exceptionally deadly and me to need to be exceptionally crafty to actually kill them before they kill me.

You don't have to click the "Activate Level Up" button when you have earned enough Tier Points to go to the next level. You can remain at whatever tier you want indefinitely. I did this on a character for a while.

Again IRL, technicals are never something you want to be down range from. They will typically ghost you if you are anywhere within a couple hundred meters before you ever have a chance to mount a meaningful defense. That miniguns are so weak in this game is actually quite unrealistic.

My mistake. That somehow escaped my memory. Most likely it's because I instinctively level up as soon as the option becomes available.

Within a game context, the most realistic enemies are those that you come across in PvP; obviously because they are real. Even if mostly the players don't act as trained military and will take more risks than in real life, they are more cautious in using cover and much more deadly in their flanking and aggression. They are also very good shots.

In that sense I haven't yet got to a Tier level (I'm at 14) that comes close to the top players and teams in terms of how quickly they will find, manoeuvre and take you out. In general PvP quickplay, the difficulty level is still a bit harder than the Tier I am on so I would say I'm still in the realistic envelope.

PvE never gets harder than the extreme difficulty, you're safe. Lol.
