Each and every week I get more discouraged and non positive. and I used to praise this game. The devs....just...dont...get it. and im out of constructive comments. Do they test these quests solo...with EVERY hero? on ALL platforms? Because they should.
I agree with all others. Completely unfun. Completely.
I played the weekly quest #1 for a few hours co-op. We beat levels 1,2,3, but never beat #4. For week 2, when challenge 1 starts with 3 shaolin with bleed, I realized they have no intention to make this quest fun and they don't care...I'm done with it and have no intention of ever playing the weekly quests...NOT WORTH IT.
I hear you...keep trying. Trust me if i can do it, anyone can. i suck.Originally Posted by mann61299 Go to original post
You have to 100% ledge...have to. in phase 1 and 3 its a must. I just finished posting in other thread. you simply wont win by fighting.
Im a solo playing 40 year old dad...my reflexes are sloth like
Phase 2 was the toughest. those 2 nuxia were just brutal. i have no idea how i did it. pure button mashing luck
I know I could beat it, but it is not a fun mode at all so I'll pass. Horrible design and being forced to use ledges and get lucky isn't appealing to me. No thanks Ubi.Originally Posted by chukblok Go to original post
Are you serious? Why are you fighting them?Originally Posted by Gastgrinder Go to original post
1st phase: there is a place to throw them off
2nd phase: there are spines on the other side of the map
3rd phase: there is a place to throw them off
4th phase, use the buff and fight one at once
I am farming this one with a friend to get the effects xD
I beat it only twice. TWICE. I had way more fun and success with the more annoying one last week, I beat that one 15 times at least! And I'd say I am a fairly good player, the best chance I had was with JJ, characters like LB, of whom I wan't the effect for, is completely worthless, and can't do anything, granted there are ledges in 1 and 3, and spikes in round two, but round 4 is just ridiculous honestly, two Tiandi's and no ui? Are you kidding? And catapults and arrows of which are twofold in co-op? Come on Ubisoft, plan better! Honestly I love Arcade, but it feels like you don't test the weekly quest.
This is correct. Using hazards to defeat the AI in the first three rounds makes it a relatively easy fight. I would say more of a chore than a game, just perform a simple set of action and wait for the RNG to not tech your guard break. Done.Originally Posted by Pincopallino097 Go to original post
However, isn't this the greatest evidence that these events and this "arcade" mode in general is just utter rubbish? The best way to play it is to not actually play it. I maintain my statement that Arcade is by far the most disappointing thing put in this game so far. An embarrassingly poor attempt at a PvE mode. It's not fun. It's a frustrating mess that puts a magnifying glass on everything wrong with the way the game plays.
I'm starting to think the team went out of their depth with this mode. Either that or they just don't care about it. I don't understand why it's so bad. It's like the Hero Tactics; one of PeaceKeeper's "tactics" actually puts her OOS. What is happening with this game?!
After completing the quest a few more times, I've begun to like the Tiandi stage. No UI makes the fight look clean, the open field and optional catapult/arrow storm spots add a bit of strategy, double buff that respawns at the centre, at the cost of both Tiandi engaging you, and there's something about parrying lights or dodging the Palm Strike without any icons that is really satisfying.
If this formula was taken, improved, and applied to all 4 stages, the WQ would be great.
And again.. don't fight them both at the same time, no reason to. It requires more luck than skill.
