Look at watch dogs for example: best graphics in trailer but when you bought it the graphic was trash. This is just one example of many games like rainbow six, ghost recon etc. As customers we want a minimum of respect and not only be seen as money spenders.
I agree 100%, this will also be the last Ubisoft game i buy until these brutal business tactics change.

why cannot people accept those rewards are specifically for who participated in events and missing out is consequence of not playing when they were available people

what is truly revolting is that they then call the developer lazy for not giving them the handouts they want
I bought the game from day one... I tried to get as many Live events as possible but my work takes me away for weeks at a time. They had like 16 live events and Ubisofts mentality is "well i hope you home in front of the TV for those 16 weeks to get all the live events cause they are gone forever"..... They also never stated once before or during the live events that these were never going to be released. In fact on Farcry twitter they told multiple people " not to worry all rewards will be added at a later date" I don't think the developers even knew what they were going to do with the live event thing until recently, Now they have moved on to other projects and have no need to support this game or fanbase anymore. This is all typical Ubisoft by the way. They have been operating this way for as long as i can remember and eventually its going to bite them in the ***.

"a variation of each personal Live Event reward will become available for purchase in the game later on." .. as in buying the 'standard' Desert Eagle instead of the Sovereign etc etc, if one have to re-read the fine print. So they have fulfilled that part, as the skins were all(?) community rewards, not personal rewards.

As much as I complained about the games bugs and bad DLC's, I got 338 hours out of it.. (the horrible DLC's might have gotten 3 hours in total) I still think it were a missed opportunity to ditch expanding the main game-world itself, and will actually miss the game a bit.

I didn't even think of that.

They've not only ignored the fans, but lied to us.

That's pretty much it, yes. We very much see those community rewards that way, and we would not want to affect the value of these cosmetic items to those players by lifting their exclusivity.

Why can't you guys just add all the weapons and uniforms and other stuff into the shop so you can go on your merry way, and the entire community shuts up about live events. It benefits us all, you get some respect for listening to the community (even though we had to poke you guys with a stick for a few months) and we get our prizes and shut up. Pretty please with a grenade on top?

I don't think the day one players would care about that, most of them already moved on. But there are a lot of new players who would love to have those rewards.
We don't want the Live Events back, we just want the cosmetic items. And if exclusivity really was that important, you guys wouldn't have repeated some of the events.
You would make a lot of new players (and day one players who just didn't have the time) really happy with this.

The live event rewards were overall a disaster. Where is the point of wearing cultist outfits as a cop? Its not even like fc3 where enemies think you are one of them. Different police outfits police vehicles etc. made more sense. Same for weapons and vehicles with cultist logos. Marshal outfit is just a one to one copy of another caracter! What do you people think?
