Several times now... in fact it's dozens of times I have taken aim at a Peggie who is some 50 yards away and even before I have squeezed off a round the peggie, and his vehicle and other peggies, just disappear. If this was occasional it wouldn't be an issue. But it is not occassional and happens too often. Also I have shot an animal and have gone to the spot to loot it, but it too has disappeared. The spawn/despawn engine needs a revamp.
Recently I have been watching my son play Red Dead Redemption 2 and I am impressed with it and after watching this then going back to Far Cry 5 I see so many flaws in the latter game.
Don't get me wrong, I love Far Cry 5, but it lacks any feel of immersion. I won't go into any of the flaws as they are well documented on these forums by others. It would be nice if Ubisoft would listen to it's customers and bring Far Cry 5 up to a higher standard.
I know comparing Far Cry 5 with Red Dead Redemption 2 is like comparing apples with oranges, but if Ubisoft did listen to its customers and fix the game, Far Cry 5 would be much more enjoyable to play. In the mean time I'm buying Red Dead...
I think this is to do with optimization for players on lower-spec rigs. Which overall isn't really a bad thing.
One of the great things about FC5 is that practically anyone can play it if they have a PC capable of playing FC4. This is a good thing for a lot of players who don't have the money to upgrade their graphics cards etc, and it's also good for Ubisoft, since it will boost sales (as the game game doesn't need a massively high-end machine to work).
And for most other people, this problem is little more than a minor annoyance.
Also, since you mentioned RDR2, keep in mind that it's a console exclusive, thus optimisation isn't even a consideration for that game, as everyone is running it on the same hardware.
Don't be naive, folks! Rockstar has one sin - greed.....They will never miss extra millions! Game will be on PC in April - May 2018. Now they are milking console gamers - in half a year they will take pc gamers. Game is not PS4 exclusive, as we can play it on XBox One also. Why RDR1 was not on PC? RDR1 would be very difficult to port on PC, technically. PS3 and PC are very different. It would take a lot money to port RDR1. Profit is not guaranteed in this case. But PS4 and PC has more in common, it will be no problem to port RDR2. So.....wait and see!Originally Posted by St.Million Go to original post
