I have recently begun optimising my gear, whilst I can see the stats improve somewhat. Some improvements seem quite meagre. I am wondering if it’s a worth while activity for some items. I’m thinking aligning talents is more important along with crafting better mods. If optimising kit which elements are best to do first given limited division tech?
U can get decent division tech from daily craft assignments, weekly crafting assignments. Also from dz farming I guess. Optimizing gear improves stats and gear score as well so it might work as a show off as well. But main thing I believe is to roll attributes according to own needs.
Thanks and regards

If you min/max your gear sets around the attributes you want to utilise then optimisation is gains by volume. Focus on an attribute and supporting stats, shy away from a balanced approach unless the set demands it (AlphaBridge) etc. It is time consuming and the gains appear marginal, but all together they work well and the boost is considerable across the board. Just remember to add some sustain to your builds however you spec/talent them.....hitting the floor every minute because you pull huge agro and cant support your own healing is no fun.
The reason its wotth it is for things like crit damage for example. So if you have 2 pieces rolled as 7%chd and you optimise them both, you'll gain another 4%chd. The same then for weapon mods, if you find the same 2 mods you're using now both have 17% chd on and you find a 19% chd mod instead in the vendors, combined you'll gain 8% chd, which is nearly getting yourself a competent talent. It all adds up.
As has been said, mileage varies. On classified, you can recalibrate two attributes. Lets say that I start with a 276 gear score, my primary stat is 1201, but I want Enemy Armor Damage and Damage to Elites and the piece has neither. At that point the only way to Raise 1201 to 1401 is through optimization. I'm also not sure what the importance of armor is, but the only way to raise that to max is to optimize.
