    Why does adventure have so many instant kill cards?

    Just curious how this is justified as balanced. Not that any theme is actually balanced against the others, but i probably play against 85-90% adventure theme decks and they all use multiple instant kill cards.

    Each other theme has their annoyances, but they can be dealt with. With adventure all you have to do is drag a card onto the field for an instant advantage that is 100% in your favor every time. I could understand if arrowstorm hit every character on the field friendly or not, or if fireball's damage was split among targets rather than full on each or better yet was in the fantasy theme where a fireball belongs, or lightning bolt was your half of the field like mind control or again in Sci-Fi where lightning should belong... But each one is absolutely broken in terms of actual game balance.



    It feels like the developers started out with adventure and did all the cool stuff there, then realised they had to make other themes but didn't want to mess with all their neat adventure cards.

    This advantage gets much smaller once your opponents start running lv4 epics and lv3 legendaries. Lv5 fireball won't kill most lv4 epics anymore and lv5 bolt will only kill some of the nasty lv3+ legendaries. In my adv/fan deck I had to swap out fireball for transmogrify in order to deal with 6E Randy, Awesome-o (with bounty hunter kyle) and MBP with pope. But I'll admit bolt is still must have for legendary Stan and Timmy.

    So what I'm hearing is spend more money and the problem will go away. It would be nice if the game were balanced at all levels of play, but i guess that is too much to ask given SPPD's pay to win model.

    Wow, that’s a pretty bitter way to look at it. This is a free to play game, you can pay or grind over time, nobody is twisting your arm. Our teams have plenty of high ranked f2p players, they just had to grind like maniacs to get there.

    Don’t spam low cost units or clump your kids together if you want to get around adv removal. Works at any rank.

    I wouldn't say bitter so much as realistic. I'm ftp usually around the 6k legendary rank and see probably 80-90% of my opponents using adventure. It's gotten to the point that i don't even care to compete against a player when i see they are an adventure player because of a long standing history of being utterly destroyed by strung together kill cards. I have no qualms with the other themes despite minor annoyances I each, only with adventure for its seemingly op advantage of sheer damage.

    I think we have very different legendary experiences. I'm seeing scifi and mystical waaaaaay more near the top than adventure. Even fantasy more now since the c*ck-pocalypse has become a thing.
