So I am a big fan of this game and want to make it work on this PC of mine. I have it downloaded in the D drive, as usual. I get the usual <Appdata folder detection error> message as many get. Many people say you just need to delete the For Honor Data folder in the hidden ProgramData folder. I delete the file and boot up the game again. The same error occurs and the file appears again. I have not yet been able to find any case of this error happening. Can somebody help?
Things I've tried to make the game work:
- Deleting the For Honor Data file in the C drive.
- Deleting the For Honor Data file while the game was booting up.
- Directly booting the game as Administrator.
- Booting the game through Uplay as administrator.
- Disabling my antivirus.
- Messed with the Security and Permissions of the For Honor Data file located in the C drive and the actual For Honor files located in the D drive.
- Repeatedly trying to boot it up without doing anything.
- Re-downloading the game
- Re-installing Uplay.
Notes:
I am not going to download the game to the C drive, as it literally almost is bigger than my C drive in it's entirety.
I pretty much always run the game through steam.
Does anybody know how to resolve my issue?
Are you using Windows Storage Spaces? We've seen some issues with that, and these issues could cause inability for files to load.
