    Hey,

I would recommend playing with the lighting disabled for now.

In the meantime, can you please create a case on the support website so we can look into this for you?

    Thanks

This issue is being discussed on the ASUS Forums as well. https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthrea...cheat-on-games from 5-18-2018. The problem is not limited to GRW, but widespread among other games. For those that do not wish to go over to that thread, the answer from EAC is:

    "Thank you for contacting us.
The software in question uses vulnerable components that can be used for cheating or cause unexpected errors. That is why we recommend closing this application before starting the game. If the developers fix the vulnerabilities, we will add it to our whitelist.

Let us know if we can help you with anything else.
In the meantime have a great day!"

Filing a support ticket with EAC will eventually be ignored after a plethora of stupid answers. (I suspect that all these "support tickets" go to the same "tech support" we get for GRW....)

Back in July, Ubisoft stated that "Just to confirm we're aware of these custom LED programs causing this issue to occur. Unfortunately you have have to have it disabled for the moment, to allow you to access the game." A support ticket on their support website, won't get any further than what you have gotten already.... because they; are "already looking into it," for at least 4 months.... NOT!

If the software was working fine at a prior time period, one of two things happened:

1: The EAC software received an update via a GRW patch, and EAC flagged LightingService.exe because the EAC programmers decided it is a "dangerous vulnerable" service; or:
2: ASUS Aura received an update to a newer version, that was not present when the game ran without issues.

The problem is EasyAntiCheat, but apparently they say it is an "issue" that needs to be addressed by ASUS, that writes sloppy programs anyway; Ubisoft is responsible for bowing to whiners, and putting EAC in the game in the first place...

A much larger issue is EAC is flagging something iin the latest Windows 10 insider preview.... so now EAC has an issue with Windows.... on my system it flagged "easyanticheat_x64.dll" just the other day. What a joke...

Unfortunately this entire problem does not seem to be limited to RGB Lighting software from Asus motherboards....

I have the exact same problem on my system: Mothrboard: Gigabyte X299 Aorus Gaming 9. To controll my RGB leds I use the Gigabyte software called: RGBFusion, the executable (RGBFusion.exe) gets flagged in the same manner as discribed above.

Either I get an access violation error, but lately its behaviour is slithly changed. I now get an error message (in Dutch) but it comes down to a message box stating: Startup Error, access denied. Exit. The Ghost Recon logo is displayed and also the Easy Anticheat logo. The only way to start the game is to close the RGBFusion app in the taskmanager….

So clearly it seems to be connected to RGB Lighting software, not specifically to Asus... So I suspect the error is not caused by sloppy programming on the motherboard manufacturer but to the general software linked to the RGB programming…

So I call upon Ubisoft to fix this problem and not to waver this away with some excuse! Thust instruct Easy Anticheat to green flag the rgb software. That's all there is to it!

    Action time !!!
