    Hey folks,

Where does this black screen occur?

Does this happen when you launch the game or at a certain point loading the game?

@Godsworn, are you experiencing the issue only during starting the game up?

Black screen club Before patch 2.02.1 game worked. Drivers updated, run as administrator. Reinstall does not work.

    I'm in the same boat.

Once I launch, it's just a black window. It's the same as the screenshots in the other posts. Tried every fix I could find from threads in the past and even reinstalling, none of it worked.

I have the same issue aswell. I've already scanned for any missing files with steam but it didn't help.

We are investigating these reports of black screens. At this time I recommend the following steps. Please first disable background applications and then verify your game/files (Uplay or Steam). Please do not enable those applications for the rest of troubleshooting and please try the game in between steps.

If you have continued issues please perform the remaining steps in our PC crashing FAQ. The final step from that FAQ is to send in your system files. Please make sure background applications are still disabled if you get to that point and send us your files. They will help us to determine the cause of this issue.
