The thing that really pisses me off, is that Eden games had my full backing. Relatively small company that made a great game in TDU. Fresh ideas like movable seating position in cockpit view.

How can that same team go to Ivory Tower and go from something so promising so long ago, to this ‘new’ game which is alot worse.

TDU remastered would have been a much better game than TC2 and given the time between them, thats pretty damning.

Im not a huge fan of forza horizon, heck i havent turned my xbox on for 2 years, but how hard can it be to make a decent open world racer?

Sounds like you know a lot beyond boundaries on this field of expertise.

Perhaps you and your fellow smart people around here should realize this 'decent open world racer' by actually applying jobs at Ivory Tower and contribute your skill or team up to make your own game to sell.

Because you know, IF everyone feels they know more and can do more, then you guys should do something worthy than typing crap in online forums. Everyone should know this. Especially when you're over 20 years old.

If you're only writing ideas, even any garbageman can do it just as easy and as good as you.

    Hahahaha easy there cowboy.

For one, it was a rhetorical question, or maybe you’ve never heard of that very common expression that’s applied to many different scenarios throughout many different topics. Maybe, just maybe there was a hint of sarcasm in there too but dont hurt yourself trying to find it.

Second of all, it isnt my day job to create a product such as this, but since we are the consumers, we generally know what we’re looking for in a game. I’d love to be able to defend this game because i want it to be great, but the reality at the moment is that it just isnt.

But back on topic... even your feedback doesnt mean anything, just like mine doesnt

I'm still a huge fan, bought the first game twice, and got the second game after a month of release. I don't know what or why but it felt boring. I had more fun during alpha 2 run than I do now, to be honest I haven't even launched the game for the past 2 maybe 3 months. Just like a week ago I tried FH4 demo, I think I had spent more time playing that demo and enjoyed more than I ever did the final release of TC2. Why? I have no idea. Maybe it's the driving, or the world feeling too vast and empty, maybe something else. I'm trying hard to enjoy the game which I should be addicted already.

I'm good with grinding games, but this fake feeling of freedom and then the game can and will punish you hard at times if you go to a race above your level and you don't memorize the shortcuts and sharp turns quickly enough to pass. I also had high hopes for wheel support but it just added needless handicap. I think they should have given extra rewards for people taking it up a notch, going "simulation mode" like in FH4. I'm a much better driver on a wheel than I'm on a gamepad.

One of the best posts I have read on here in a while, Kane_sg.

Everyone playing games assumes that it is incredibly easy to just see what you want in a game, figure out in a short time how to implement it, and then just leisurely write the code. They also assume laziness or, in the extreme case, some sort of malicious spite by devs who create games that not everyone is pleased with. I know very little about coding, but I do know that it is always hard to be a professional at the level of Ivory Tower and other of the more talented dev teams. I won't lie, there are things I don't like in this game. But in all honestly, I see no sign of laziness or lackluster effort by this team.

I have said many times in this forum that not everyone can be Rockstar games, where everything is practically an instant-classic. But I don't think this speaks badly about Ivory. Because Rockstar is a company that pours probably 4-5 times the money, resources, and manpower that Rockstar puts into a GTA game or even RDR2. I also imagine that fixing bugs is nowhere near as easy as we entitled, impatient players would like to believe.

So they could of delayed the game longer then instead of treating it as a Full release we all know its a Beta test

100% agree with the OP, it is a complete waste of time, no effort whatsoever from the Devs to correspond with the community and the same cut and paste responses from the Moderators, this has resulted in drastically falling numbers of players picking this up and even is now reflecting as such in this forum, the warnings were there from the very start, lessons were not learned from the release of TC1.
Here's a fact, you can more or less split the community into two categories, those who will not accept an inferior product and those who will, the ones who will consistently spend their time coming onto posts like these that are very relevant and very legitimate, only to attempt to argue against peoples legitimate posts rather than spending their times creating their own posts singing praises for the game as they so suggest.
The hypocrisy on here is laughable from some, there are some who feel it is ok to have an opinion just as long as it coincides with their own, hence why they consistently have to go out of their way to come onto posts like these and quote absolute dribble!

They were better off updating CREW 1 with this as an addon and made CREW 1 better would have save time.

Not really. Updating The Crew 1 would have meant chaging the engine ground up, reworking code for the existing things and adding all the new stuff (Boats, Planes).
This would have been more time-intensive (and probably impossible due to engine limitation and whatnot) than making a new game from scratch.

This game was made to pay for all the starbucks runs for the devs working on Assassins Creed. -That's how I feel.

I paid 100 bucks to play a game 3 days early/season pass for a game I wouldn't play through the season to need the gotdamn pass.

Headlights. Still. Have. Not. Been. Fixed. I don't watch the BS dev streams so I don't know if they know that - it's been long enough.

Maybe our voice here in a community doesn't speak for the majority of the people who purchased your game, and we may not have the same wants or needs , - maybe we're not your "core" fanbase but we damn sure can all agree - you need headlights driving at night.

... and you know you can't fix it because it would have been fixed a whole installment, ago.
I've dealt with devs and communities for EA in the past - I still don't know **** but this all looks like evasive behavior, not wanting to be even halfway honest because of big business protocol.

But at least there are developers who make sure to keep it a buck with those who care to hear and either admit certain things can't be fixed, take it on the chin and keep moving with whatever you got left, or keep evading our voiced concerns all over your forums in hopes you might really be able to fix core things in your spare time - or with whatever resources you got while it all still dies off slow - meanwhile you pocketed what you could while we just everyone got cookie cutter messages.

Being honest makes this $100 burn feel more like a bad scrape but thats obviously asking too much. Nothing else to say except thank you for all the fun I did have with my drift cars and - you guys just suck. I'm going back to Red dead and figure out how to get an Xbox and ALL the damn forza games.
