    Well, the borderless fixed some stages for me, but not all! Anyways, I'm also using a RX580 8GB with Ryzen 5 1600 OC

    I don't think borderless fixed anything for me. V-sync either.

    As I said in the previous post, it seems to be a problem with some sort of particle effects on AMD Polaris GPU-s.
    I am absolutely certain that wind or fog effects are the main cause of frame drops (in benchmarks smoke from paraglider );

    For example, race called "Silent Valley" in Alps WAS the place where i get massive frame drops:
    on the start of the race, where there are a lot of wind blowing snow effects and
    regardless of settings, either LOW or ULTRA get frame drops to ~22FPS .

    After a couple of minutes, weather got better and sunnier and there were no wind effects
    and I got almost steady 75fps on ULTRA (V-sync on 75Hz monitor) with no frame drops below 65FPS !

    Temporary fix would be to add a toggle that disables these weather effects like wind or snow.

    This! ^

    After some more testing, borderless seemed just a temporary fix for some places for me also... I've done some runs on "Silent Valley" and "Dexterity Race" too and the wind effects and some kind of snow particles seemed to cause the lag. In parts of races where I don't encounter those "things" I got steady frame rates and no lags, all played on high & ultra settings!
