Kensei problems and overall problems with For Honor

Seriously. You guys really ****ed up Kensei in one MAJOR way with his rework, and it has been bothering me for some time. I've mentioned this on steam forums, but since you obviously don't pay attention to those anymore, I am going to post it here in hopes someone will actually take notice.

The incredibly slow speed of Kensei's top heavy and his top heavy feints is so horrible, ALL someone has to do to counter it is to light attack. That's it. I JUST got out of a particularly bad match with Warden where I couldn't even use a mixup at all. He would simply light attack me every single damn time I tried to even start it. And it's because you slowed down his top attack to ABYSMALLY BAD LEVELS. I don't know who thought it was a good idea to do that, but it wasn't.

Time and time again we see very poor choices by your company when it comes to balance. Look at Shinobi on release. THEN you took it too far the other way and he is damn near worthless now. Your idea of a PK rework was to nerf the **** out of her attacks, add one new move, and bam. You gave Conq almost unreactable (if not completely unreactable) shield bashes. And don't even get me started on Warden and his insane tracking on his charged SB. I was literally halfway across the map in arena, back dodged from THERE when he started it (literally, he was near the wall I was halfway across the map, see him charging and back-dodge) and the attack STILL HITS ME. And he gets a guarenteed HEAVY from that.

Really? A HEAVY? Sometimes I wonder what you guys are smoking when you design movesets, because whatever it is, I want some! It is that bad! But you seemingly REFUSE to listen to anyone at all when they critique your poor decisions. And then the new Chinese faction comes out and you have characters like Jiang Jun and Shoulin.

But what pisses me off most, makes me the most shocked, is how poorly you did with Kensei. You have him SO MUCH POTENTIAL, but took it all away by making the leadup into his mixup so terrible that literally, all you have to do to counter, is a simple light attack.

I've been playing since Beta. I've seen some crazy things. I am really losing faith in your development team. It seems none of you have any idea whatsoever how to design a BALANCED game, and it only gets worse the more seasons in we get.

Please. Fix these issues. Actually learn from your mistakes instead of trying to sweep them under the rug like an edgy teen pretending to clean his room by throwing crap under the bed. There are real issues, and the more you continue to ignore them, the more your playerbase will shrink. There is a reason that half the beta players I know have left the game. More players will continue to do so until either A, you actually learn from your mistakes and listen to your players or B, the game completely dies due to incompetent hero design.

Listen to your fans. Listen to your players, like me, who have over 900 hours into the game. Don't just ignore us because we critique you, actually take us into consideration. Bring FH from a POTENTIALLY greatest fighting game ever made into THE greatest fighting game ever made.

Really only pointing out one thing here, but I find Conqueror's shield bash incredibly easy to react to and I play on console with a locked 30FPS. . If anything, excessive shield bash spam is easily punishable with a guardbreak or light attack during recovery. Is his shield bash faster on PC than it is on console?

Kensei has been the #2 hero (behind Conq) for 2 seasons straight. He's not bad, and he's not getting a buff either.

He's not getting a buff when he's already literally at the top of the winrate, and has been for a good while. If you can't utilize Kensei's mixups correctly, that's literally on you because he has more mixups than Centurion does, who happens to be the mixup specialist. He also has the best dodge attack in the game (most i-frames), one of the highest damaging heavies in the game (right alongside Warden, Raider, and Shugo), is the only character that can softfeint his heavies into other heavies, light attacks, bashes, guardbreaks, and dodges, has hyperarmor on heavies and lights, has a pretty good unblockable that can also softfeint, and has a solid 500ms light chain.

Not only does he have a solid kit, he is also, again, literally the #2 most powerful hero in the game, and all the stats show it. The paper shows it, the field data shows it.

They're not buffing one of the strongest characters in the game because he "feels slow" to you

based on what you said? clearly you suck.

kensei is the only balanced hero on this game. that alone proves that you dont know how to use kensei's feint.

warden charged SB? thats one light attack to cancel it, you must be one of those trash players who always run away and get tracked by charged SB, if you're not confident on cancelling wardens SB, then you can roll to avoid it, if you still cant do that, then I dont know what to fix on your playstyle anymore.

conqueror shield bash? thats easier to dodge than shinobi kick

If you knew how to use Kensei's heavy feint (or the rest of his kit) correctly you wouldn't be calling for a buff for the second best hero in the game or berating people that aren't worth your time.

All I can say is, practice. You can easily trade, sidestep, or even option select a lot of attacks with Kensei, it just takes practice. But trust me when I say Kensei is much better off than 95% of the cast
