Many may disagree instantly but its logical.
The hit box should be extended to where the opponent shouldn't be able to avoid the sweep by simply dogging to the left or right. The sweep should force the opponent to doge backwards or roll away. The recovery time after a missed sweep is slim to none and puts the VALK player at a huge disadvantage and could even cost the player the game. By extending the left to right hit box it gives the VALK a better chance to finish a combo. The punish for the missed sweep is still there if the opposing player dodges backwards. In my experience i have seen that my sweep goes straight through the enemy's leg and has no effect after they doge left or right. I believe the hit box should be the same as what is being visually shown.
If you don't agree with this please at least look at some compromises listed below.
Compromise:
Sometimes I see my sweep go straight through another player's leg and it has no effect and then the opponent GB me or get free hits off. VALK should at least be able to counter GB or maybe she can have a faster recovery time.
Please share your genuine opinion and give a reason why you think this is a yes or no.
i've been saying since day one, that dodging should be more strict, i hate that people can dodge through your attacks.
if someone is swinging left to right, they should have to dodge back or to your right (so they are moving away from it) dodging into it should result in being hit (unless they deflect)
LOL! So as if her out of control lights weren't enough, you now want free damage and no punish for the floor sweep? You know the timing to dodge that floor sweep is so tight that no one (not even the best players) could avoid it 100% of the time even if they saw it was coming and if she just throws out another light dodging does absolutely nothing.
What the real complaint of the thread is is this: "I can't win every match by spamming light attacks into floor sweep over and over, please give me a free win button so I can beat people with more skill than me that counter my predictable spam."
Meanwhile there's characters who are in dire need of changes such as Shugoki, Raider, Lawbringer etc... We have people with perfectly viable picks complaining because they lost using the same spam over and over. Valk is FINE, maybe not S tier fine but she's certainly nowhere near the bottom.
Most of these characters don't even need to be worked on the only character that you mentioned would be Lawbringer. Also doesn't change the fact that the hit box is off.Originally Posted by Tasteewheat Go to original post
All this would do is it would make everyone eventually dodge backwards, instead of the sides while fighting valk, it might help Valk players initially, until everyone caught on, then you would have everyone back dodging you on every combo you make, not to mention that a wider hit box would trip even more of Valk teamates to the ground...
