Lag compensation seems nonexistant in MF

With the new heroes out and all of them being very good at spamming lights, are you guys any closer to getting latency stable enough to be able to combat light spam? This expansion I've seen a higher latency then ever before, most players are now sitting around 50-100 ms constantly. It wasn't like this before the release. You say combating lightspam is a core aspect of learning the game, but how can we combat something that's sometimes impossible to react to. I can't count the number of times I've been killed by an attack that looked like it had half the ms it should. I can reliably block 400ms lights on reaction, but when I'm fighting someone that has a latency of 100+ it makes their attacks almost impossible to react to, I usually sit around 30-50 ping. Practicing in the training arena can only get you so far when it comes to learning the game, because there is no latency when your fighting the AI, but in any PVP game mode attack indicators aren't nearly as clear.

Agree, recently it has become very difficult to catch fast lights from new heroes. This dlc brings the "cocaine meta" for very fast reaction and without lag compansation.

Light spam will kill this game, it's being used as a way to combat the defense meta by acting like chip damage, the 400 ms attacks are supposed to be unreactable is what the devs say, but how is that fair to all the heroes that don't have those attacks? 500ms lights can be hard to react to in certain matches with lag, add 500/400 ms combos and you're playing a non stop rock paper scissors match.

Every new rework and character is hammering light spam and unreactable attacks into the game, unblockables that can be cancelled into something else in an instant, there is no commitment to any attacks any more as more and more moves can be feinted a split second before they hit, like wardens bs shoulder bash.

I'm getting to the point where I would rather the defense meta than the spam meta. Most people don't even react to the enemy any more, there is no neutral point in a fight or mind games, they just dish out their same very fast routine/mixups over and over that is very hard to defend against, unless you are using a character with the same ability, then you make one dodge or block and smash out your cheesy routine.

It's getting pretty bad when for me the game seems only enjoyable vs AI.
