    Do Switch Xbox and PS4 share dancer of the week?

    I have been noticing that when I’m dancer of the week on a song on my Switch and tell me my friend who has PS4, says that I’m not dancer of the week on his screen to that song. I was wondering do Switch people only play with Switch people? Or is dancer of the week like World dance floor where it’s cross platform?

    The Dancer of the Week scores aren't cross-platform. Personally, I'm glad that it stays within platform.

    I've been dancing to JD 2019 on both Xbox Kinect and the PS4 camera. For most of the songs, my Xbox scores are a little higher than my PS4 scores (but there are exceptions). When I look at the Dancer of the Week scores for Xbox, the score to beat is above 13,300 on many of the dances. Even when I hit 13,200, I don't even come close. When I use PS4, the score to beat seems more reasonable.

    When I'm on PS4, it shows my highest score from either platform beside my name, but if my Xbox score is better than the Dancer of the Week's score for PS4, my Xbox score doesn't make me Dancer of the Week.

    Last week, my PS4 scores were good enough to be Dancer of the Week on multiple songs on the PS4 platform. I actually hit 13,300 on one of the dances with PS4 (yet that score still wouldn't have been good enough for Xbox).

    I also like that all of the Dancer of the Week scores refreshed at the end of the week. Even though my Dancer of the Week scores have now disappeared, I like that it gives all players a chance when the week begins. Though there are a lot of excellent dancers already hitting high scores when the week begins (and any songs that came up during today's Weekly Tournament probably already have insane scores).

    So far in 2019, my best score is 13316 on the Mad Love duet using PS4 (though it won't be showing presently because I haven't tried it since last week), but I have hit more 13,000's on Xbox. I've only done about half the dances so far.

    In previous years, I've occasionally hit the magical 13,333: I did this on Bailar and Diggy, that I can think of. (Actually, I believe I hit 13,332 on my screen at the end of the dance, but it rounded up on the song list after.)

    There are so many incredible dancers. Looking at the Dancers of the Week, or even visiting the dance floor (though I haven't done this yet in 2019), I recognize a growing long list of players who seem to hit 13,000's on most of the songs. Back when I was learning the game in 2015, I hadn't even realized that 13,000 was a possible score.

    You know the scorecard that shows at the end of the dance on the World Dance Floor? I really wish I could see this scorecard after the song even when I'm not on the dance floor. It's helpful. Especially in 2019, there are so many moves that require me to turn my head away from the t.v., I don't even get to see all of the scores on the screen, so it would be helpful to see a summary afterward. If there is a reason that it isn't done, like maybe the overall score is more complicated than adding up the perfects, supers, goods, and ok's, then you could simply include a short message to this extent with the scorecard (and it would hopefully cut down on questions about the scoring).

    You dance, too, right? What's your best score?

    @greekphysics ,

    I've never danced to Mad Love duet before. I had to look it up and check it out. It looks like a fun song to dance too!
    I haven't hit 13,000 (yet), but my best score is 12,046 on Into You by Ariana Grande.

    Also, I'll pass along your suggestion ❤

    Mad Love is a fun dance. I love the costumes, too. I enjoyed dancing to Into You in JD 2017; that's a great song to have a high score on. 12,000 is a great score on any song (and in JD 2018 and 2019, you hear the Megastar sound when you pass it).
